"Yuya! Yuuuyaaa!" I heard someone calling.
I opened my eyes halfway. Oh, it's Yuzu. I Wonder what she wants.
She leans forward to me.
"Yuya!!" she screams.
I shifted my eyes to her, too tired to do anything else.
"Yuya! Class is over!" she yelled angrily, fan raised, ready to take a swing.
I blink. Oh , that's right, it's time to go home! I shake my head and stand up.
"Sorry, I'm ready..." I say sleepily, rubbing my eyes and picking up my bag.
She stares at me.
"Are you okay?" she asks, looking at me with concern.
"Yeah, I'm just a bit tired. I'm more of an night owl than a morning bird." I said, laughing at my night owl comment.
She sighed. After a few moments she turned and walked to the door, freezing in the doorway.
"Mr. Reiji?" I heard her say, surprised at the sudden appearance.
I look to the door. Sure enough, Reiji was walking towards me, a serious look plastered on his face.
"Yuya, I need you to come to L.I.D. I have important information to consult with you about." he said, stopping in front of me as I sling my bag over my shoulder.
"What makes it so important?" I say, my mind already annoyed at being woken up from much needed sleep.
I recoil a bit at my own words as I realize how it came out. It seems Reiji did the same. By the time I get to school I'm usually fully awake. Since today is, not, one of those days, the filter I keep on my attitude is slipping.
"Sorry, that came out wrong..." I apologized.
"I see..." Reiji said, more to himself than to me.
"Yuya, do you need me to-?" Yuzu started.
"Please forgive me Miss.Hiragi, but I cannot allow you to hear this information." Reiji apologized.
"But-" Yuzu started again.
"Forgive Me." He said coldly again.
He doesn't have to be so mean- Oh... I just snapped at Reiji a few seconds ago, I don't have room to talk...
"Yuzu, I'm gonna' stay and talk with him for a bit, go on home without me, unless you need a chaperone to make sure you don't run off the rails." I tried to comfort with a joke.
"Hmph! I don't need an escort; I'll be just fine!" she said racing out of the classroom.
Just before she left the door she called again, "And if anyone would need an escort for being rowdy, it would be you!"
I gave a slight smile as she disappeared from view, footsteps tapping on the glassy tile as she raced down the hall.
"So, why can't we talk here? Everyone's gone home already." I asked, glancing around the room
"No," he said, not taking a minute to think. " the walls have ears."
