We always meet for dinner when Pepper's around. Pag hindi ay hindi ako sumasama. I grew comfortable around them but I still prefer going out with Pepper.
Saturday didn't mean Pepper and Mandy day anymore. It had become Pepper, Mandy and the boys.
Nagkayayang mag-inuman ngayon and I'm only going because Nico keep messaging and tagging me in our group chat. Saying pupuntahan niya ako pag hindi ako sumama.
As usual si Pepper ang assigned driver ko. He wouldn't let me go with just my gray shirt and wide pants.
"Are you seriously going with that?" He said disgusted by my look.
"Yes." I answered. Ang sabi inuman lang. It's not like we're going to a high end bar to party.
Pepper is wearing a white shirt tucked in a green trousers and he's carrying a black leather clutch bag.
"I would never," He started. "Never pair that wide pants with that gray shirt."
"What's wrong?" I looked down at myself. "Ok naman ah."
"You need a professional help. You're lucky I'm here."
So he made me wear a puffy sleeves top with skinny jeans. At least Pepper allowed me to wear my sneakers.
I don't even know I have this top. I think it's from one of the clothes Pepper gave me that I didn't bother to check because I know I would never wear it if it's up to me.
Peper took time to admire his work. He clapped. "Perfect! Let's go."
Napapansin ko na kanina pa ako tinitignan ni Arvic pero hindi ko siya pinansin. I only ordered flavored beer for me habang sila nag hard drinks.
"Ok ka na dyan?" Vince asked.
"Yup." I said. "Bakit hindi mo sinama girlfriend mo?"
"Kasama niya mga friends niya. Ayaw niyang kasama si Arvic."
"Oh.." Tumango ako.
He smiled and lifted his glass. Nagcheers kami tapos ako naman ang tinanong niya.
"Baka naiinis ka pag inaasar ka namin kay Arvic? Joke lang 'yun. Hindi pa kasi nagkagirlfriend kaya niloloko ng barkada. I hope you don't mind." Sabi niya.
I do mind actually. Pero ano daw? Hindi pa nagkakagirlfriend? Maniwala?
"Joke ba 'yan? I don't believe you."
"Totoo nga. Tanong mo pa siya." Natatawa niyang sagot.
"Naku hindi na. Baka isipin niya interesado ako."
"Hindi ba?" Ngisi ni Vince. With that he left to talk to Patrick.
"Mandy, may tanong lang ako." Pinalitan ni Nico si Vince.
"Ano?"
"Naalala mo nung--"
"Girl!" Tipsy na lumapit sa akin si Pepper. "I love you girl. Cheers tayo!"
"Akala ko ba hindi ka nalalasing?" I said and watched him trying to squeeze himself between me and Nico.
I smiled apologetically at Nico. He shrugged and poured some drink for Pepper. "Inom pa?"
"Why not?"
I excused myself to go to the CR. Pagbalik ko si Andrew at Arvic nalang ang naiwan? "Nasaan sila?"
"Beerpong." Ngumuso si Andrew.
Vince and Pepper vs Patrick and Nico. It was obvious who was winning. Patrick and Nico are arguing and Nico seems confident kahit na wala siyang naishoot.
