"Can we not go?" Arvic sat lazily on my bed.
I looked at him through the mirror. "Why? You like parties."
He groaned. "Because your friend arranged it. Who knows kung anong plano niya."
Natawa ako at nilingon siya. Kawawang boyfriend, trauma na kay Pepper. Tinotoo ni Pepper ang send off party na sinabi niya sa akin. He planned it with our friends without letting both of us know. Hindi rin niya sinabi kay Arvic because he wanted me to be surprised at his arrangement.
I only have 1 week before leaving so sinusulit ko ang mga araw na kasama sila kaya kahit diskumpyado ako kay Pepper ay wala akong magawa.
"He's really good at planning parties." I said as I pull Arvic up.
"Don't worry, hindi ka na ulit malalasing ni Pepper. I got you, love." I flicked his nose.
"One condition: don't drink too much. Mag-enjoy ka lang but don't go over your limit."
"Okay." I nodded.
"How about let's just stay here?" He put his hands on my waist.
Arvic even went as far as putting on a cute act while coaxing me. Who can say no to that face? I can't.
But I have to.
"Be good. Umupo ka lang dyan, matatapos na ako then we can go."
Iniwan ko siya at tinapos ang pag-ayos sa sarili.
Saktong tumawag si Pepper nung paalis na kami. Arvic told me not to answer pero nasagot ko na.
"Saan na kayo? You better not ditch! Kilala na kita. Sabi ko na ako na dapat ang sumundo sayo."
Natawa nalang ako. "Ito na, papunta na."
"Put me on loudspeaker."
"Arvic Z, siguraduhin mong pupunta si Mandy. Kahit magbago ang isip dalhin mo pa rin dito, okay?"
I pursed my lips while looking at Arvic roll his eyes. Kung alam lang ni Pepper na sa aming dalawa si Arvic pa ang may tendency na magbago ang isip.
"Last chance, yes or no?" Arvic asked as we got near to the place.
"Yes." I laughed, "Sayang naman effort ni Pepper."
"Okay." He nodded.
We got separated the moment we arrived. Everyone was there kahit sila Ian and Camille. Pepper asked Denver pero may shift siya so he can't come.
Earlier this evening, Arvic was the one who didn't want to come so I don't expect him to enjoy the party this much.
Naglalaro sila ng beerpong nila Vince. Nangingibabaw ang boses nilang dalawa habang tinatrash talk ang kabilang team.
Pinapanood ko lang sila nang biglang may kumuha ng hawak kong beer.
Paglingon ko nakangiti sila Ian sa akin.
"Hindi naman pwedeng pa-beer beer nalang tayo diba?" Trisha grinned at Pepper.
Tinaas ni Pepper ang hawak niyang tequila. "Tequila party! Hindi mawawala 'yang jowa mo. Let's get the party started!"
Camille and Trisha hooked their arms to mine. Alam ko nang wala akong takas so I just turned to have a last look at the boys before they steered me away.
Medyo nahihilo na ako after who knows how many shots I took. Naglalaro rin kami ng beerpong pero with tequila shots.
I don't really like to drink so imagine beer plus tequila? Sure malalasing ako.
