"I want in."
Three words. Seven letters. Million questions.
"Why?"
One word. Three letters. Unending answers.
"Why? What do you mean, why? I want to get out of this hell hole, I want to live an actual life. I want to get to breathe freely without having my life risked. That man killed my family in front of me and you expect me not to help you get that man slaughtered for something brutal he did to many of us. We're all scared of making such a move so we never tried killing him but now, I see as chance and I'm not going to lose it. I want to help, I want in."
My brain processed this new piece of information as I slowly nodded. We needed people to help us but could we trust him?
"How can I trust you?" I plucked up the courage to ask.
His eyes glimmered. "Rex and I have been with each other since the day he entered through those doors. We never let anyone else come in between. We trust no one else. If you don't want to trust me, fine. But Rex will because he knew from day one how badly I wanted to escape and how much it cost me."
"Well, then I—"
"Astrid, there you are. I . . . is there a problem here?"
I looked at Aaron who made an eye contact with me and then gazed back at my brother.
"Rex, Aaron and I were just talking. What's up?"
"Tim is calling you. Looks like you're getting your first assignment. He's waiting for you in his office."
I nodded. "Okay, I'll just head there. Until I come back, you and Aaron have something important to talk about. Meet me at night in my room, okay?"
Aaron folded his hands across his chest and nodded. "Alright."

"You asked for me. . . Boss?"
"Ah, Astrid! Yes, I have a task for you. Do you think you're prepared? Because you'll be leaving tomorrow." There was no concern in his voice, it was a dare. He was daring me to take it. I'm not even going to say otherwise.
"Of course, Chase and I've been training really hard. I doubt anyone can touch me now."
Learn how to boast about yourself from me people, learn.

I reached my room, hoping to fall on my bed because I had spent the previous two hours with Greg—the guy who's second in command AKA the guy whose leading our group, planning our targets and other things as such.
But when I closed the door, I was met by Rex and Aaron who seemed pretty busy in the conversation they were having.
"Ah, Astrid, finally you're back. Did everything go well or did something happen?" Rex asked as I sat next to him on bed.
"No, everything went fine. Tell me, how's your conversation going?"
"Good." The reply came from Aaron.
"Rex, do you trust him?" when he nodded, I replied. "Good. Now, Aaron, we need to kill Tim Parker and this is how we do it."
Blayze's POV
"Did you check the eastern perimeter?" I asked one of my men on the phone.
"Yes, sir. No sign of her there."
"Okay, keep on searching." With that, I cut the call as I strolled through Italy. I had been here for the past one week, searching for my wife... but I couldn't.
She probably went as far away as possible from me but I need to get her back. I need to apologize for the way I'd acted.
I heard someone call out my name as I lost myself in my thoughts.
"WHAT!?" I growled, my anger taking control of me.
"Geez, sorry man," Jackson stuttered, raising his hands up in a surrendering manner. "I thought you'd need some company."
"Well, you thought wrong. I don't need anyone's company."
"Okay, let me break it to you. I'm here to make sure you don't accidently kill someone on purpose like last time. Your rage is out of your control, Blayze! You don't talk anymore, you eat almost nothing, you erupt like a volcano at the slightest joke, you get distracted easily, you're basically becoming the man you were always scared to be. You really need to get an appointment with a doctor."
But I shook my head. "I don't need a doctor, Jackson. I need Astrid. Her and only her."
He rested a hand on my shoulder. "We'll find her. Don't worry."
I shrugged off his hand, telling him to go away and search the area he had been told to. He obeyed but before he left, he whispered, "I miss her too. She was practically my big sister. . . . . . even though she's younger than me."
I listened for a moment and asked, "Do you think she did it? Do you think she. . . betrayed me?"
To me, she didn't. She wouldn't. I just blew up at the wrong moment without listening to her reasoning. But...
Jackson, to my relief, shook his head. "That's not Astrid. She always looked at you like you were her world, just like you looked at her. And it was nowhere near fake, completely genuine."
I sighed with relief as he walked away.
Blayze's POV was just to tell you that Blayze isn't lying around while Astrid is giving her all. He's also busy finding her but thought that she went FAR away as possible from him to avoid him, even though this was not the case...... I still love him.
