I felt my eyelids get heavier as I rubbed them to brush off the exhaustion. I heard a yawn from besides me, watching Dustin sleep on my shoulder as Austin shifted on his lap. Though the boys had a strange aura, I found then quite cute. They just missed out on life a lot.
I turned my gaze back at the screen, looking at the time before looking at what my brother and Aaron.
It was 3:21am.
It was WAY pass my bed time.Through these weeks, we sabotaged different plans and schemes Tim made, framing someone who was acting as an obstacle in our path.
I knew this plan had to work. We had to break Tim Parker inside out but it was taking too long, for me at least. I missed Blayze too much and every time I did, I'd remember are small, stupid arguments, our crazy moments together, every time he would kiss me. I'd miss it all. I miss his presence, the feeling of safety he brought with him.
There was an internal war going inside this gang. Apparently, we caused so much chaos that no one was ready to trust each other. Even our group had to act like we suspected something from each other in front of everyone.
"Cupcakes and brownies make a great couple," I heard Dustin mumble on my shoulder and giggled a little.
He'll turn out to be a great match-maker.
I turned my face as much as I could to see Alex on the couch if he was okay. It took him a lot of time to adjust to the new revelation he got about his father. I had fallen in love with the kid that if he were quite younger than me, I would've adopted him. Even the twins, I wouldn't have minded at all. I wanted them to have a life they both deserved but before I could, I needed to set mine on a straight path. . . straighter path.
Since this mission was accomplished perfectly, I closed the monitor and turned on solitaire. I needed to wait till Rex and Aaron came back.
All of a sudden, the door to my room burst open, showing the faces of Tim and another guy I didn't know about.
Dustin fell on the ground, taking Austin with him who let out a string of curses while Alex just sat up straight, panting heavily.
"See! See, Tim! I told you they were sleeping in the same room. They're the ones, they have to be," the man yelled.
"What's going on here?" I yelled. "What is all is?"
In a few seconds, I felt a hand grab my neck tightly, lifting me up.
Tim's grasp was harsh and deadly, holding a strength I never thought he might have.
I didn't even know he had any.
Very wrong time to be making jokes."T-Tim I-I d-didn't do—"
"Shut up," he hissed at me. Turning towards the man, "She was using the computer. Check it."
"What the fuck are you doing!?" Dustin and Alex said at the same time. "Put her down, she didn't do anything!"
Tim didn't listen, he motioned towards the door from where three more men came in and grabbed each of the boys and harshly tugged them to their knees, keeping their guns on their necks.
"W-what are y-you doing t-to them...s-stop!"
"Not until we find what shit you've all been doing together in a room."
I sent a mental prayer to god to make sure that Dustin had installed his 'auto-delete history of what we were doing' because if he didn't, there were going to be four funerals—no, wait. I don't think they'll be kind enough to give us one.
Feeling my limbs weaken as my lungs screamed for air, I kicked Tim on his shin and fell on my knees, gasping for air.
My eyes went to Dustin who nodded. That was all the confrontation I needed.
Staying in the same position, I looked up at the man who was going through the computer. "What did you find, huh? Did you find the oh-so-precious information you needed? That I was playing cards."
He turned to give me a death glare but soon whitened when his eyes met his boss.
"Well? What did you find?" Tim spoke up.
"N-nothing, sir. S-she was playing on the computer." His eyes moved hastily around the room, trying to figure out what to say.
"See, Tim. He's lying to you," I said as I stood up. "I join you with a reason, a cause. And I'm not going anywhere until I get my revenge."
For once, I wasn't lying to him. He probably thought I wanted revenge on Blayze when I actually want one for him.
"But—but that still doesn't explain why they were all together here early in the morning." The man still insisted.
I rolled my eyes, actually irritated by this person for making such a vague argument.
"I like spending time with these boys. They're like brothers to me. I've come to love them just as much as I love Rex. And you know how much limits I can cross for my brother."
Tim's deadly gaze settled on the man in front of him. He just tilted his dead a little with a wicked smile on his face. I didn't know what it was for until one of his men raised his gun and shot him dead.
"Leave, the rest of you." Tim ordered and left. Just like that.
"Don't forget to pick up after yourselves and clean this shit up," Aaron added.
Soon the body was removed and the blood stains were wiped clean.
No matter how much I told myself he deserved it, no matter how much I tried to reason with his death, I was sick of it and I couldn't. my limit was ending and my clock was ticking.
I heaved in a heavy breath as I got up and stared at where the body lay.
Composing myself again, I turned to Dustin and ruined his hair. "Good job, if you hadn't downloaded whatever shit you had to, we'd all have a bullet in our head by now."
The other two agreed with me and laughed. I told them to go back to their own rooms for the time being, not wanting any more drama for today.
Before leaving Alex gave me his usual peck on my cheek but I didn't expect it when the twin wrapped their arms around me.
I couldn't help but let out a giggle. "Oh, what's this for?"
"You told him you loved us. We know you didn't lie 'cause it was written all over your face that you were telling the truth. You have no idea how much that means to us."
My heart melted at the sight of them as I pulled back and placed a soft kiss on their foreheads. They may have been close to my age but I did love them like my own baby siblings.
"If it wasn't obvious from my action then hear it in my words: I do love you both."
They went away after another hug and I sat on my bed, staring at the same spot for so long that I lost the track of time. I snapped out when I saw rex waving his hand in front of me. It was only then when I realized that the sun had already risen.
"Hey, baby sis. You okay? You look pale, you want me to call Aaron to check you?"
I shook my head.
"No, Rex. I'm done with all of this shit. I think it's time. We're finishing it now. I want to see him fall. I want to kill him."
