Hey my favorite people,
Let's get started with the first bit now😋.

"Just try; you'll never know what may happen."

"But Mum, it's not like I am so good at this. I mean, people write real stuff out here. Am just... "

She'll never let me finish anything, will she?

"My dear, the story of humans is the story of perfect imperfections."

With that said, she gives it a stop at it.

Wow! That was a real nugget of wisdom, and my mother was so good at it.

This woman meant a lot more to me than anyone else. She's the one person with the you-can-do-it attitude, which made me believe in myself.

There was this writing competition back in school, and I couldn't hold back the urge to try. And that's where she got the idea of pushing me to do my best when I knew I was some poor upcoming writer, or so I thought. I go to school at Lakeview high school. It's not the place with the best menu or facilities but worth learning. It's just a few meters away from home, so walking has been my routine for as long as I have been there.

After a light breakfast, I rush out of the house and hurriedly tread the street to school. I am early today because there isn't so much of a crowd. I take out my writing pad, review every line, and make a few corrections here and there. I laugh at one or two points before my book falls off my hands.

"Oh sorry, guess I should be keeping my eyes up when walking."
"No, am sorry. I believe I should have stepped aside instead," he says as he neatens the pad and gave it to me.
"Well, thank you. That was gentle of you."
"OK, am Flen, a senior. You? " He said stretching out his hand for me to shake.
"Uhmm...am Linn, a third year. "
It was a pleasant handshake: firm and gentle.
"Nice meeting you Linn, so what's with the reading along the lane? "
"Just trying to fabricate a better story to give to the world or better said the judges. "
"Wow! A writer? "
"Let's just say a small girl with big dreams," I reply with a small chuckle.
"That was funny you know."
"To you."
"Linn, can I get to see more of you? You're beautiful. "
Jesus! Did that come out of his mouth? That word was a big one, I mean no one has ever told me that at least!
"Err...well, thanks. Oh, yeah, sure you can."
Wait, I didn't just say yes, did I? My God! What was wrong with me?
"Well then, guess I'll leave you to your big dream. Got to get going elsewhere."
"Bye Flen,it was a pleasure meeting you."
"Yeah, bye. And all the best by the way," he says as he walks away.
Damn it! This guy was sweet!
Or did I use the wrong term?
Maybe it's the intoxication of being called beautiful.
Whatever.
