Well honestly, it's not easy finding time to tell your best friend that her boyfriend is hitting on you because Number 1: You can't tell her in school. So I had to wait till school was over for the day.
The bell rang later than usual. Ok, I mean time seemed to be dragging by so slowly like it had no intention of letting go of the day.
And Flen too didn't really intend to let me walk home alone this time.
"Hey pretty face, want a ride home?"
"Oh, yes Mr., I'd very much love to ride on your back."
"Whoa! Well, I grant you that then. Shall we?" He asked.
"No, let's keep walking. I prefer it much better."
But he didn't listen. Instead, all I remember is feeling my feet swept off the ground, and wow! I was in his arms should I say?
Ok, it really felt so good, like I think it does in movies. But we were just out of the school gate so that I knew they were watching.
"Please let me down," I pleaded.
"So you don't like it?"
"Not when am getting seemingly everyone's attention."
"If you say so."
Then I was down gently.
I didn't even try to look back, because I was sure they had watched.
And pretty much it didn't matter whether they did maybe.
"Flen I could really use some advice from a friend."
"Tell me, what's up?"
OK, it was difficult to let the question out honestly. I do not know why, but I could not just bring it up. I felt like it was something I should just handle first before saying it out loud.
Besides, this guy liked me and I liked him, even though he still doesn't know the latter part, I didn't want to think of what'd happen between the two of them.
So instead I asked him something off board really; "What is the best way to get to learn about your friend? I mean, knowing who he is, what he likes, how he acts in certain situations, blah blah blah."
He first laughed at me before looking at me with the leftovers of a laugh, more of a smile to put it nicely.
" Gives me an impression that you must like this friend of yours. "
" What if I do? What if I like him?"
You should have seen the emotions in his eyes. It was intense, full of love maybe.
And I couldn't even believe I was admitting to him that I liked him. I stared into his eyes and said the last thing that would complete the puzzle,
" What if I like you Flen?"
This time, the stare got deeper and more passionate, and more tempting. There was a string of emotions in the air around us, and it did what it does best; it pulled us closer, it inched our faces towards each other, it just closed my eyes naturally, and then I waited.
