The weather was a bit chilly this morning. Had to dress up warmly because I didn't want to catch a cold.

"Hey, where were you last night? I looked everywhere for you but didn't see you," May asked, sounding concerned.

"Well, I wasn't really feeling well, so I opted to leave before it got worse, " I lied.
Am sure she'd believe me or maybe if she didn't, at least she knows am not the party kind.
"Sorry, but you're good now, right? "
"Yes, am fine. So how was it? " I don't think I meant to ask that but it sounded better than having to think up lies over my small head.

Well no, I have a big head.
"Bill was at the party too, " she said.
"I wouldn't expect him to miss though, " I answered.
"Yeah, we had a good time Linn, " she blushed.
"May, what happened? " I asked knowing something was hidden.
"We had sex," she blurted shyly.
Whoa!
"Well, I can't say anything. If it makes you happy, I am for you. " I guess I just said that because I couldn't say anything else.

Bill is May's boyfriend. They have dated since we joined our third year. They make a cute couple though, but I just didn't expect them to have had sex so soon; I don't even know how soon is soon?

We got in time for the first class to begin: Geography by Mrs. Kayla. I hated geography, and probably I disliked the teacher as well. I would always sit in this class with my hands supporting my chin,or even at times, like today, dose off till I hear her scream my name, "Linn Armor, would you mind telling us about the Gulf of Alaska? "
Am so caught today!

But I've heard that name before, am sure. It's just so terrible that the time you need to remember something the most, is the same time your brain seems to always have left your body. God, am damned!
"Hey, I believe am talking to the one Linn Armor in this class. Unless you want to go..."
Well, she didn't have to finish that because I already knew it. She can be a witch if she wants to. I stood from my seat and looked around.
"The Gulf of Alaska is the meeting point between the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans."
Am sure that was correct, and so I didn't stop at it. I gave out every little detail I knew about that gulf. When I saw her smile, I believed I had done it; it was my eureka moment. Maybe Geography wasn't that bad!
Oh please, just because you got the one question right?
Classes went on smoothly till lunch time. We usually sit at a table of five; that's Miranda, May, Frances, Daisy and me. It wasn't any different today.
"Hey everyone," I greeted as I took to my seat.
"Hello to you,"they all replied at the same time.
"Hey, you really missed out on a lot by the way, sorry about your sickness," Frances addressed me of course.
"Yeah, the crowd was great. And the dancing too was fun. I got to steal a dance with my all-time crush Flen!" Daisy clang on to every bit of the latter statement like her life depended on it.
She said Flen?
Seems she knew him before I did.
Am jealous.

The chattering went on and for the first time I felt like I should have stayed on at the party. Not because it was fun, but these four made me feel totally out of place!
As if that was not enough, they talked about May's new state like it was the greatest thing ever. To hell with you!

I felt grateful when he showed up, didn't change the fact that I disliked him though. Something else would be nice than this silly talk. As if that was expected of him, he went on to May and gave her a light kiss. Then he shifted his gaze directly to me. But there was something about that look that made me so uncomfortable. I should have known that it was going to be the beginning of some big drama, and it would result to the greatest fallout ever.

Thanks for the read guys, am humbled. Don't forget to tap that little star at the end of the chapter if you like it😊.
