December 2019

I woke up, still groggy. I scratched my neck and wiggled my way out of Milo's grasp.

"Milo," I said, "Wake up!" I threw a pillow at him.
"I don't wanna," He slurred, pulling me back down on the bed.
"You have to," I slapped his chest, "We have the Disney Holiday Celebration thing today."

His eyes got wide, despite him being tired.

"Whats that for?" I frowned.
"N-nothing..." He stuttered.

Something was definitely up.

"Let's go," He untangled our bodies and got up.

I raised my eyebrows and got up. We got dressed in silence. I went over to the mirror to do my makeup. What I saw, horrified me.

"Milo!" I screamed.
"What?" He asked, hurrying over to me.
"I have a hickey!" A look of horror covered my face.

He started laughing.

"It's not funny!" I gaped.
"Yeah it is! Plus, I don't know what the big deal is," He began kissing my neck, again.
"Milo, Stop! I don't need another today, because we are gonna be on live tv!" I whined.
"Baby, it's not a big deal," He smirked, kissing my head.
"Yes it is," I sighed, continuing to do my makeup.

He came over to engulf me in a hug. I sighed and cuddled into the embrace.

"Come on, we need to get going," I said, getting up.

He nodded and we finished getting ready, before going downstairs. We brought our previously packed suitcases along. We found Kayla eating a bowl of cereal.

"Ready?" I asked her.

She nodded and got up to put her bowl in the dishwasher.

"Breakfast?" Milo inquired as I put on my jacket and shoes.

I shook my head. I wasn't feeling too hot today and I felt it was showing.

"You don't feel good," He looked worried and came over to feel my forehead, "No fever."
I shut my eyes as he kissed my forehead, "I feel fine," I assured him.

He gave me a look, telling me that he didn't believe me. I was tempted to tell him the truth, but I was afraid to tell him about the nightmare.

"Milo," I whined, "I'm fine."
"What makes you thinks she's sick anyways?" Kayla looked at Milo.
"I can tell. I have a sixth sense for the people I love," He pressed his lips to my forehead.

I smiled and Kayla grinned.

"You sure you're okay?" He asked.
"Yes," I confirmed.

He nodded and we headed to the airport. We were shooting the holiday celebration today around 5 pm. We got to the airport and boarded the plane just in time.

I held Kayla's hand, in attempt to not get separated. I sat between Milo and Kayla.

"I've never been on a plane before!" Kayla said, excitedly.
I smiled at her, "Gum?" I pulled a pack of gum from my purse and gave a piece to both Milo and Kayla, before taking one myself. I rested my head on Milo's shoulder.

"What's that on your neck?" Kayla asked, "It looks like a bruise."

My hand found its way up to cover it.

"It's a hickey," Milo told her, confidently, which earned an elbow in the side from me.

Her eyes got wide and face turned red. That caused Milo and I to start laughing. It wasn't long until Kayla slumped against me and put her head on my shoulder, when I realized she was asleep. I layed my head on Kayla's head, before I felt myself falling asleep and laying my head on Milo's shoulder, again.
