Milo's Sister

Chapter 24

February 2020

"Okay, I'm going to go pick up your stuff from the pharmacy," Milo said, sliding his coat on, after eating the breakfast I made.
"Thank you, be safe!" I called as he walked out the door.
Kayla was sitting at the table, eating, "So, what did you want to tell me?" She asked, as soon as Milo's car left the driveway.

I explained everything to her as I texted Mason to come over. It wasn't long before Mason's car came pulling in.

"Hey!" He said, hugging me.
"Hi!" I smiled, complying.

I pulled him and Kayla up to me and Milo's room, getting out some eye shadow. I first did my own and then Mason's.

"Where is the old Geezer anyways?" Mason questioned.
"At the pharmacy getting pregnancy tests," I answered.
"He finally got you knocked up...Can I be the godfather?" He smiled, widely.
"We aren't having a baby, I just like to keep them around, just in case," I explained.
"Ah, I see," He said, as we sat back down on the couch.
"Wait! I have to record this!" I said, pulling out the camera.
"Hey, guys! I decided that Milo and I need to make a YouTube channel! We have our first video, today! Milo doesnt know, yet! We are doing a fake hickey prank on Milo. He's getting some stuff for me and Mason and I made fake hickeys on our neck, so we'll see if he notices! I hinestly don't think he will fall for it. He knows I'm loyal." I said, "Ooh! He's here!"

I sat the camera up behind some picture frames and Mason and I sat at the counter with Kayla.

"I'm home!" He called, entering the kitchen, "Mason?"
"Hey, bro," He said, bro-hugging him.

He leaned over to peck my lips.

"What's that on your neck?" Milo inquired, "Mason has one too?"
I looked at him and shrugged, "Mason was trying to curl my hair and accidentally burnt my neck, so I took it and burnt his."
"Meg, that's a hickey and I just saw you this morning, so I know I didn't give it to you," He looked confused.

I didn't say anything just looked at the floor.

"Babe," He said, touching my neck, "Mason, you have a girlfriend."

He lifted the bottom of his shirt to wipe my neck.

"It came off," He grinned, moving over to wipe Mason's neck, "Their fake!"
"You've been pranked!" I motioned for Kayla to grab the camera.
"So, it's prank?" He laughed, still confused.
"Yeah, for our new YouTube channel," I told him.
"You guys scared me," He sighed, standing by Mason.
"I'm sorry," I said, playfully, going over to hug his waist.

He just looked into the camera, that Kayla was holding, relieved. He wrapped one arm around me. I pulled away.

"Here, let me give you, one," Mason said, acting as if he was going to give Milo a hickey.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Milo laughed.
"Okay, okay, let's sit down and do the conclusion," I said, making all four of us sit on the couch, "So, Milo and I will be trying to film a video, at least once a week." I explained.

We continued the outro (idk if that's a word) and finished.

Camryn was in New York, visiting one of her old friends (I'm assuming, since Milo and I are plenty old enough to take care if ourselves and Kayla, that apparently justifies her leaving all the time) I was in the kitchen talking to Milo. Kaitlyn and I were hanging out and then she was coming back to the house to meet Kayla and see Milo.

"Be safe," He told me, "No paps, when you're alone."
"Kaitlyn and I will be fine," I leaned up to plant a kiss on his lips, "I love you."
"I love you, too. Have fun, but not too much fun," He raised his eyebrows and smirked.

I heard Kaitlyn honk the car horn and I quickly gathered my things.

"Bye, Kayla!" I said, waving as I left.

We didn't live in an apartment. It was a two story house in the suburbs of LA. We really didn't have too many neighbors, there were two houses on either side if us, but we still had around an acre of yard.

"Hey, Katie!" I said, getting in the passenger seat.
"Meggy!" She hugged me, "I missed you, but your boyfriend hogs you now, so i never see you!"
"I missed you too!" I laughed, "My fiance." I corrected.
"Wait! What?" She grabbed my hand, "I knew you were engaged, I just forgot! Milo has good taste."
I smiled, "He does."

With that we pulled out of the driveway and began to drive to the urban part of LA.

"So, how are you and Milo doing?" She asked giddily.
"We're great! We've been babysitting Kayla a lot lately, but we don't mind," I explained.

Camryn had come home and taken Kayla to see a movie she wanted to see really badly. Milo and I stayed home and got the house to ourselves for the first time in weeks. We didn't do anything really, just watched a movie and cuddled. It was starting to get late, though, we were beginning to get worried. The movie had ended and we were just waiting up for them.

"I wonder where they are?" Milo said, peeking out the window, through the closed curtains.

He was worried and I could tell. I didn't want to worry him, more, but I could feel panic, settling in my gut.

"I'm sure their fine," I told him, holding my arms out to him, "Come here."

He came walking over and sat with me, his head on my shoulder.

"Want some tea?" I asked him.

He nodded, silently. I kissed his cheek and got up to make apple cinnamon tea. I finally had it finished and gave him a mug. We both sat on opposite ends of the couch, holding our mugs and sipping the tea.

"I'm worried," He admitted, "What if something happened?"
"Baby, they might have just gone out to eat or went shopping...Or if your mom posted something about where she was going, they could have been bombarded by fans." I tried to comfort him.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," He sighed, leaning his head back.

We sat in silence for a while, before his phone began ringing.

"Hello?" He asked, quickly.

I couldn't hear what the person on the other end was saying.

"This is him...What?" He almost screamed.
My heart leapt into my throat, "What's wrong?"
"Thanks for calling. I'll be there soon," He said, ending the call.

He put his head in his hands and sighed.

He looked up at me, tears im his eyes, "Mom and Kayla got into a car accident."

Not exactly sure how I feel about this chapter, but I wanted to get something new out to you guys. Let me know what you think!
