Milo's Sister

Chapter 20

February 2020

"Hurry! We're gonna be late!" Camryn knocked on our door.
"We're coming!" I called, finishing my mascara and putting on my heels.

Milo finished tying his tie, (yes, I taught him how) and we opened the door to find Camryn and Kayla waiting.

"Then, let's go!" Camryn led us out the car, so we could leave for the set of Family Fued.

It wasn't long before we arrived. We were met by one of the workers.

"Since Kayla is under 18, do you want us to keep tame questions? Does it matter?" He asked.
Camryn shrugged, "It's not that big of a deal either way."

He nodded and walked away. We followed Camryn to the filming area. We had about an hour before we were on. Milo, Kayla, and I sat on a couch, while Camryn sat in a chair next to it. Milo had an arm around me, he was on his phone, I was leaning against him, my legs crossed. Kayla was on the other side of Milo, leaning on him, watching him do whatever he was doing on his phone, probably Tik Tok.

"What family are we against?" Kayla asked.
"We don't know," Milo told her.

She wrinkled her nose and we waited. Camryn decided to do an Instagram live.

"Hey, guys! So, Milo, Meg, Kayla, and I are waiting to be on Family Fued!" She set the phone down, so we were all visible on the screen.

I looked up from scrolling through Instagram to smile at the phone.

"Hi!" I waved, before going back to my phone.
"Uh..." Camryn thought for a second, "how about we do a q and a?"

She continued to talk to the live.

"The first question is..." She read, "Are Meg and Milo working on any new projects?"
"We just finished one," Milo murmured, tightening his grip around me.

I giggled, looking up at him.

Camryn continued her live until a guy came in to tell us that we were on.

"Let's go!" Milo said, grabbing my hand as we walked.

We entered the filming studio and Milo stood at the first spot, I stood beside him, then it was Camryn, and finally Kayla.

"Welcome back to Family Fued!" Steve shouted, "I'm Steve Harvey and I'm back with the Manheim Family and the Smith family!"

He walked over to us.

"Milo," He addressed my fiance, "Would you like to tell us about yourself and introduce us to your family?"
Milo smiled, "Of course! I was on Zombies and will be on Zombies 2 next week! I have been on American Housewife." He looked at Steve qho jodded, before continuing, "This is my fiance, Meg."

I smiled and waved.

"Congratulations on the engagement," Steve nodded.

"Thank you," I looked over to Milo.
"Meg, tell us about you,"
"Uhmm...Milo was my first boyfriend, we've been together for 3 years. I was on ZOMBIES, Zombies 2, Team Toon, and American Housewife." I told him.

Milo looked at me and I nodded.

"This is my mom, Camryn," Milo told them.

Camryn and Kayla introduced themselves, and then Steve went to the Smith family. Once introductions were over, Steve called Milo and someone from the Smith family over. They went to stand at the podiums, shaking hands, before doing so.

"Okay, guys, I'll read a question when you have an answer hit the buzzer. Whoever answers the most chose answer gets to play or pass, rop seven answers on the board," Steve explained, "Okay...What food might look like a part of a human body?"

Instantly, Milo slammed the buzzer answering quickly.

"Peach!" He exclaimed, causing everyone to laugh.
"A pEaCh!" Steve announced.

We all looked to the board and sure enough, peach was the number two answer. Steve looked to the opposing team for them to answer.

"Grape!"

We all looked at the board again. Milo's answer was higher.

"Milo, play or pass?"
"Play!" Milo smiled, walking back to high five me and take his place next to me.

Steve followed.

"Meg, what food might look like a human body part?" He inquired.
"A banana, Steve," I said, confidently, earning a high five from, Camryn, Kayla, and Milo.
He looked at me and laughed, "A banana?"

We looked to the board. It was the number one answer!

"Milo's a good looking fellow," Steve began.
I smiled and nodded, not knowing where he was going with this, "He is."
Steve grinned, mischeviously, "I'll bet you've seen quite a few of thise."

I laughed, but felt the heat rising up in my cheeks.

"She has," Milo assured him, laughing.
"There you go!" Steve chuckled, before moving onto Camryn and Kayla.

I looked over at Camryn who was laughing and Kayla, who looked mortified.

Steve began to laugh harder, "Poor Kayla, having to hear about her brothers sex life."

She wrinkled her nose and Milo and I laughed harder. Leave it to Steve Harvey to make everything awkward and inappropriate.

"Okay, Camryn," He repeated the question.
"Uhhh...." Camryn answered the question.

It wasn't long before we made it all the way to the third round. We won. Then it was just Fast Money. Milo and I were chosen.

Camryn pulled the car into the driveway and let us out. 

"I'll be back! I have to film, I'm not sure for how long," She told us. 
"It's fine, we'll take care of Kayla," I assured her.
"Thank you, so much," Camryn thanked us.

We smiled, before bidding her farewell and going back inside. We immediately went to our rooms to change. I slid out of my shoes and dress, took my hair down, and put on a loose fit crop top, along with a pair of leggings. I settled for putting my hair in a messy bun. 

"I just wanna cuddle," I told him, wiping the remnaints of my makeup.
"We can take care if that," He hugged me, kissing my cheek.

I smiled, before I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," I called.

She walked in just before Milo unwrapped his arms from around me.

"One of you guys should make me lunch," She gave us puppy dog eyes.
"We'll be down in a second," I laughed.

With that answer, she went downstairs.

"I can make lunch," He whispered, placing a kiss on the side of my head.
"No, it's fine, I can help," I sighed, leaning against him.

We went downstairs and Kayla was watching YouTube on tv.  Milo and I got to work making lunch.

I'm not completely satisfied with this chapter, but here it is!
