Meg's pov
"Milo, you know, I think you owe me one," I poked him in the chest.
He chuckled and I could feel his warm breath on my face.
"I love you." I whispered.
"Do you? I might just love you too...Maybe." He smirked.
"Oh, just kiss me." I grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him to me, pressing my lips to his, rather roughly.I was sitting on the counter and he was standing in front of me when Camryn came into the kitchen.
"Milo! Meg! I have some exciting news!" She exclaimed, entering the kitchen, making us jump.
"What is it?" He asked, not even looking at her.
"We're going to adopt a ten year old girl!" She clapped her hands, excitedly.
"Wow," I said, laughing, "This is sudden."
Milo grinned, "I don't know how to feel about this."
"Well get ready! We need to get going!" She walked back to her room.
He shook his head, "Now where is she going? "
I laughed, "She's your mother."He picked me up and sat me on the ground softly.
Kayla's pov
Happy adoption day to me, I guess. I didn't know much about this family, except I had met my new mom, once. Darcy, my social worker, and I were waiting in the main office, when a tall lady—I recognized as my mom—walked in with a teenage boy. He wasn't bad looking. Another girl that was blonde was beside him. At first I thought she was his sister, but then I realized they were holding hands. I assumed they were dating. The blonde girl whispered something to her boyfriend and he smiled at her. They were cute.
"Kayla," Darcy said, from my side, "It's time to get you loaded up."
I nodded.
She took my hand and led me over to the family.
"Hello, sweetie. This is your new brother, Milo and his girlfriend, Meg." She introduced them.
So, I was right. They were together. Meg smiled at me and rubbed Milo's arm. He kissed the top of her head and smiled, too.
"Hi, I'm Kayla." I shyly, said and hid behind Darcy .
"Hi, Kayla, that's a really pretty name." Meg said.I liked her.
"Okay, we just need you to sign a couple things." Darcy explained.
"Milo, can you and Meg take Kayla to the car? We need to finalize a few things." Camryn explained, handing Meg the keys.
"Sure." I heard Milo say.Milo wrapped an arm around Meg's waist. Meg offered me her hand. I clung to her hand and we went out to the car.
Meg's pov
I was kind of nervous about meeting Milo's new sister. I was also, pretty excited. I had never had any siblings, so I was happy for her to look up to me and I could teach her all about boys, hair, makeup, and to share secrets. It would be great, since Milo and Camryn decided I should move in with them, rather than having to drive all the way there every day. I finished moving in just a couple weeks ago. But, as soon as we walked into the building, I instantly had a thought. Someday...and someday soon, I hoped...Milo and I would have kids.
I mentally made a promise to myself that when Milo and I had kids, we would never give them up, like some of these people did. I then felt Milo squeeze my hand and I looked at him worriedly. He smiled, comfortingly.
"When we have kids, I'm never ever letting them go. It's so sad that some of these kids have parents that just didn't want them." I whispered.
"When we have kids, we are going to be the best parents there can be. Our kids will be our prized possessions." He told me.
" I love you. " I leaned against him.Soon, the counselor brought a little girl over and Camryn spoke up.
"Hello, sweetie. I'm Camryn, but you can call me Mom. This is your new brother, Milo and his girlfriend, Meg." She smiled.
I waved and smiled at Kayla, before rubbing Milo's arm as he kissed my head.
"Hi, I'm Kayla." She said.
" Hi, Kayla. That's a really pretty name. " I told her.She smiled.
"Milo, can you and Meg take Kayla to the car? We need to finalize a few things." Camryn asked as I took the keys.
"Sure." Milo put an arm around my waist and I grabbed Kayla's hand.We then left the building to go out to the car.
Kayla's pov
"Kayla, tell us about yourself." Meg told me.
Milo and Meg sat in the second row of seats and I sat in the back.
"Well, I'm ten years old. I was put into foster car, when I was three. I only have a vague memory of My mom. She was single mother and she couldn't take care of me and my now 13 year old brother. She ended up leaving me on the front steps," I explained everything.
They looked at each other and looked back at me.
"Do you mind me asking you some questions?" I asked them.
They nodded.
"How did you guys meet?"
"We met during the filming of the DCOM, Zombies. We knew each other for probably a year, before we started dating." Milo explained.
"You guys are famous?" I was surprised.
"Yeah." Meg answered.
"Cool! You guys are such a cute couple!" I commented.
"Thanks. " They said, together. We stopped talking as the car door opened and Camryn came in.
"Ready?" She asked.
"Yep! " Milo turned around to face the front. After, I got settled I found my way to the living room, to find Milo sitting on the couch, watching Riverdale. Meg was on his lap and was leaning back against Milo. She had their hands intertwined. Meg had on an oversized sweatshirt, that I assumed was Milo's. They didn't realize I came in until I walked in and sat on the recliner.
"Oh, hey Kayla." Meg paused the show.
"Hi." I said, awkwardly.
"How do you like your room?" Milo broke the silence.
"It's great! " I smiled, happy the subject had changed. "Do you live here, Meg?"She nodded. I felt relief wash over me, of all of the the people in my new family, I felt most comfortable with Meg.
"Good." I whispered.
I saw Meg smile, she was really pretty.
I watched as Meg unpaused her show and finished her episode."Meggo, you wanna go to bed?" Milo asked her.
"Yeah, let's go." She stood up. "Night, Kayla."
"Night."
"Sweet dreams. " Milo held Meg's hand and they went to Milo's room. So, most of this story will be Meg's point of view, but I will add Kayla's when I feel it's necessary.
