February 2020

As we entered the house, Kayla looked at me nervously. I nodded my encouragment.

"Milo," Kayla said, as she sat on the couch.

He was taking his shoes off by the front door and hung his keys on the key ring.

He looked up at her, "Huh?"
"Can you come here?" She asked, hesitantly.

I was already seated on the couch, waiting for Milo.

"Sure," He looked confused, but came and say next to me.
"Okay," She took a deep breath, "I love you, Milo."
He frowned, "I love you, too, but what's this about?"
"Please, don't be mad at me or not telling you until now," She stopped and I put a hand on his arm, "There is this 18 year old guy that has been talking to me and creepily flirting with me." She said, quickly.

I felt him clench his fists.

"How long has this been going on?" He asked, trying to be calm.
"A month," She whispered, "He's been asking for my actual number and won't stop."

He sighed, closing his eyes.

"Give him my number," He spoke, squeezing my thigh.

I leaned my forehead against the side of his head.

"Okay, done," She said, moving to sit next to Milo.

He put an arm around both of our shoulders and pulled us closer to him. It wasn't long, before his phone rang. Kayla answered, quickly and put it on speaker. He whispered for me to record the conversation.

"Hello?" She asked.
"Hey, Cutie," A gruff voice said.

He continued saying disgusting, flirtatious things, before Milo cut in.

"Hey. Max right?" He questioned.
"Uh...Yeah?" Max was confused.
"This is Milo. Milo Manheim. Kayla's big brother," He said, in a deep stern voice, "I suggest you stop texting and flirting with my sister. She's ten. You're what? Eighteen? Stop creeping on little girls and get a life. I am not afraid to take care of you. Am I clear?"

Max was quiet the whole time.

When he didn't answer, Milo repeated himself, louder this time, "Am I clear?"
"Yes," Max replied, sassily.
"Okay, now if I hear of you texting my little sister, it will be the last thing you ever do. If it comes to that, we will be calling the cops. If you don't believe me, just ask my fiance, who is sitting right next to me and has been recording this whole conversation," He threatened.

I couldn't wait until Milo and I started having kids. He was going to be the best dad ever.

"Yes, sir," Max mumbled.

With that he ended the call and Kayla immediately went to Snapchat to block his sorry ass.

"Thank you, Milo," Kayla said, hugging him.

I smiled at him and he nodded, before kissing my lips, gently.

It had been two weeks since the accident and everyone's doing great. Camryn was already going back to work. Milo's birthday was the next week. March 6th. We were having a party for some of the Zombies 2 cast, Mason, Owen, and we were allowing Kayla to come, that day. There was going to be some drinking and what not. If a few people got too hammered, there were three guest bedrooms.

"Okay, Milo," I said, filling the refrigerator with all of the drinks and setting out the food we had bought, "i'm done with food and drinks."
"I have the speaker set up," He said as he put a bunch of trash cans around the house, so we didn't have a big mess to clean up.
"I can't wait for everyone to get here!" Kayla exclaimed.
