"No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell." —Carl Jung
I rested my head against Bill's shoulder, cringing slightly at the gory, bloody scenes on the screen. I felt myself blush Bill's arm wrapped tighter around me.
Eddie and I screeched as Michael leapt from the murky water and attacked the blonde girl sitting in the boat. Richie and bill snorted at the two of us; Stanley and Mike chortled along.
Eddie, completely flustered, muttered something under his breath and burrowed his bright pink face into Richie's chest. Richie protectively wrapped his arms around Eddie, and I smiled at how cute they were together.
I glanced up at Bill, who was looking down at me.
"Hiya Bill," I whispered.
"H-hey Bev," he breathed back, looking at my lips.
Slowly, we began to lean in, when a sudden hand landed on my shoulder.
I whipped around and screamed loudly as I saw Micheal right behind me, falling off the couch in the process.
The boys, completely oblivious until now, all turned to look at me. I was laying on my back on the floor; my shirt had ridden up until it barely covered my bra.
I quickly sat up and readjusted myself.
"G-Georgie!" Bill scolded his younger brother, who now stood with tears in his eyes, clutching the white mask in his hand. "You can't d-do that to p-people!"
"S-Sorry Bill," the young boy sniffled.
Now that I knew the monsters weren't real, I found the situation hilarious. "Oh Bill," I laughed. "It's ok. He was just playing."
Georgie's tears immediately vanished, and he smiled widely, relieved.
Bill rolled his eyes, but let the younger boy off with a strict warning. "Go on, get outta h-here," bill ushered Georgie out of the basement.
Bill came and sat back down beside me. Eddie checked his watch.
"Holy shit! It's midnight already?" He cried. "Oh my mom is going to kill me!"
"Hey, relax kid, I'll walk you home," Richie reassured Eddie.
"Oh really? Thank you so much Chee," he told Richie.
The two boys stood up, waved goodbye to everyone and walked out.
"Yeah, we should get going too, Bill," Mike said. "Stanley's spending the night with me."
"O-oh ok. B-bye guys!" Bill told them.
I waved them goodbye, and listened until I heard the upstairs door close, before turning to Bill.
"Now where were we?" I asked before pulling him into a kiss.
