The two men quickly noticed Damien wasn't the one that likes talking, but they figured that he did like the company he got. So they were just talking to him about themselves so that the boy would get to know them. After a while, the dark dressed man, which Roman introduced as Virgil, joined them. Logan explained the situation and who the boy was. After Virgil saw the shirt Damien was wearing, he decided to talk about The Nightmare Before Christmas. Damien, even though he didn't show it, enjoyed the one sided conversation.
After a while, the last one of the invisible men joined. Logan explained everything again and the man Damien now knew as Patton started rambling about everything and nothing. He talked from puppies to movies over books to his family. The boy had started a new drawing while listening to their conversations. He added everything he already knew from the four of them.
He drew Roman as the prince that he is in the most Disney like style he could manage.
He drew Logan in a Ravenclaw suit as a head boy.
He drew Patton like normally, just with butterflies all around him and animals with him like in Snow White.
And he drew Virgil, relaxed, floating in the air with different music signs all around him and headphones on.
And finally the visible man noticed the four invisible men with the boy, talking. When he approached them, the man noticed that the big, round glasses the boy was wearing were broken.
He crouched down in front of the boy.
"Hey there buddy", the man said. Damien didn't answer.
"Damien, that's Thomas. He's, like you already noticed, the only one visible to the other children", Logan explained to the boy, then turned to Thomas.
"Damien doesn't really speak but enjoys the company.", he started explaining before he got interrupted by Roman.
"He's also a really talented artist! Look at this!" He pointed at the drawing the boy was halfway done with. Damien got a slight hint of red on his cheeks. He wasn't used to getting praised.
Thomas smiled at the boy. He wasn't like the other kids Thomas had seen. Damien was quiet and seemed lonely. According to the story with his glasses Roman told him, he wasn't really liked either. He was the outcast of the orphanage. And Thomas knew, it was this boy. He wanted to give Damien a home.
"Hey Damien", called boy looked up slightly. "It's time for me to go. Can I see you tomorrow again?"
Damien's eyes widen slightly. Thomas wanted to meet him again? The boy nodded happily. Thomas smiled.
"Alright, see you tomorrow"
With that, he stood back up and left, together with the four invisible men.
