Damien got woken up by Thomas, lightly shaking him.
"Come on buddy, it's your big day"
The boy grumbled until the words sunk in and he was sitting up straight. He look at Thomas, eyes full of impatience and anticipation. Thomas smiled at him.
"Alright, time to get ready. I'll be waiting in the kitchen"
And with that the man left Damien's room to let the boy change.
Damien pulled out the Ravenclaw cardigan he wore when Thomas first got to the orphanage, black jeans and a light blue T-Shirt with Pattons heart logo. When he found out about Thomas' merch Store the boy was really excited and Thomas figured that, since Damien liked the sides so much, he could get him some merch and boy, the kid loved it.
He ran down the staircase quickly and entered the kitchen. Thomas smiled at him, placing a plate with a toast at a free seat. The others were already waiting for him. So Damien quickly sat down and after everyone said their good mornings and drowned his toast with a great portion of Crofters, making Logan smile proudly and Patton giggle.
"So, since you're already wearing his merch, why don't we let Patton go with you today?", Thomas asked, smiling at the boy. Damien nodded in agreement and quickly finished his breakfast.
Patton had a huge grin on his face and finished too. After that, Thomas stood up.
"Alright, I'll drive you to school then."
Damien grabbed his backpack from the sofa in the living room (he packed it the day before with the others) and put on his shoes.
Thomas and Patton followed, saying bye to the rest of the family while Damien waved.
Thomas drove the two to school and left the car with them.
"Have a fun day buddy", the man said smiling and ruffled Damien's hair, making him giggle slightly. Patton grinned and said goodbye to Thomas while the boy waved at his dad.
The duo then entered the school building.
None of the other kids seemed to acknowledge Damien's presence and just ignored him. Even though his smile never faded because now he at least wasn't alone. Patton kept talking about everything and nothing at the same time until they entered the classroom and Damien sat down.
Patton sat cross-legged next to his sons seat, smiling but a little confused to why no one greeted him.
After the boy pulled out his sketchbook, he looked down at Patton and started drawing. He didn't really pay attention to the teacher that started class until Patton poked him. "You should really listen to her, it's not really polite and you'll have to answer questions later. Maybe."
Damien sighed quietly and put his head down onto the table but did as he was told. He started listening to the teacher, even though it was more fun listening to his favourite teach Logan. Yeah, he was definitely going to take Logan with him tomorrow.
When the lesson was over and Patton had to make sure Damien didn't fall asleep, it was time for break.
