"Hey Buddy?", Thomas suddenly said at the breakfast table. Damien looked up and stopped chewing as he did so, blinking a few times.
"I was thinking about going to get a few new clothes for you? Since you don't seem to have that much from the orphanage. What do you say? You wanna go shopping?"
Damien looked at him for a few seconds, until his brain got the information. The boy nodded excitedly, which made Thomas smile.
"Alright, we'll go after breakfast then and grab something to eat lunch on our way back", the man explained.
Damien started to eat his breakfast faster, to get there earlier. The drive was passing painfully slowly for the child as he bounced up and down in his seat. After three minutes, that felt like half an hour to him, Damien started looking out of the window, watching how an imaginary person made a parkour out of the way they were taking. In his case, it was Roman and Miles Morales, trying to beat each other and be the first.
With this, the car ride actually went by faster and soon they were at their goal.
After a few more minutes of searching a free parking spot, the car came to a halt and the two guys stepped outside.
"Ready to go?", Thomas asked. As an answer, Damien took his hand and kept jumping up and down.
The man smiled at his sons behaviour and walked with him to the different stores.
After entering the first store, Thomas looked down to Damien and smiled.
"Alright, lets look around, shall we?"The child nodded excited, going over to the male section like he had been taught. Thomas followed and looked at the things his son seemed to be interested in.
That way he didn't miss the glazes into the female section."You wanna go over there?", Thomas asked, giving Damien a reassuring smile.
After a few moments of silence, the boy carefully nodded, afraid that this might be the wrong answer. But Thomas simply smiled and said "Let's go then!"The two of them went over to the females section. They might have gotten some weird glances, but Thomas made sure to let his son know that it was absolutely okay.
The man let Damien wander around a little, until he carefully pulled his dads hand over to a few skirts.
The boy shyly pointed at a navy blue skirt, still slightly afraid to look at the man."It looks really nice", Thomas said smiling, while he took a skirt that looked to be the right size and held it in front of Damien to check.
The child now looked up with big eyes and started smiling widely.
The two of them spend another half hour to find the clothing Damien liked and finally left the store with two bags full of clothing. Damien was so excited he even got to wear his new skirt right away.
"You look so majestic!", Roman said as he suddenly popped up, feeling the need to support the little boy.
"The color does, indeed, suit you", Logan told him from the other side.
"It looks adorable!"
"You definitely rock that style"
Patton and Virgil appeared to, making the boy grin from ear to ear.
