The two of them were spending the rest of the day talking and getting to know each other.
They were sitting in front of the TV, smiling and talking.
"We are the Crystal Gems!"
Damien's attention was now at the TV, where the Steven Universe intro was playing.
"Ah, your dad wanted to watch this with you", Emile said smiling. Damien looked at the screen with curious eyes, wondering what his dad had planned.
Speak of the devil, the door suddenly swung open.
"I'm back!", a voice said. It was pretty quiet, as to not disturb the child or wake him up in case he was asleep. Which he wasn't.
"Dad!", the boy said in excitement, jumping up from his seat and running over to the door, hugging the man he was waiting for all day.
Thomas was slightly taken aback, but returned the hug anyways, smiling at his boy.
"And, how was he?", the man asked, ruffling the grinning kids hair.
"Oh, Damien was an angel. Also, I think I've found a movie he likes", Emile answered, smiling at the sight in front of him.
"Oh? What is it?", Thomas asked, now looking back at his son.
"Spiderman! Miles is so cool!", the boy said, throwing his arms in the air. That's when Thomas noticed.
"What happened to your arm buddy?", the man asked, looking at the patches up wound.
"Well... that mean girl shoved me to the ground and I scratched my arm... but the other two helped me and got a teacher! And I think we're friends now!", the child beamed with excitement and Thomas couldn't react other than be happy for his son, even though he was slightly worried if these friends actually meant it, seeing as they did bully his son not to long ago.
"I'll head home then. It was nice getting to know you", Emile said, smiling at the child. The kid returned the smile and waved at the man with a quick "Bye!"
"Thanks again Emile"
"No worries Thomas!"
The two adults shook hands and said their goodbyes, before Emile left.
"You made some friends?!", an excited voice exclaimed as Patton hugged Damien from the side.
"Chill Dad, you're gonna crush the poor boy"
"I am so happy that the two stood up for you!"
"It is very pleasant to know that you are no longer alone in school"
Damien grinned as the other members of his family appeared next to him and his dad.
"You gotta tell us what happened!", Patton exclaimed, sitting criss crossed on the floor.
So Damien told his family about his day.
