Taehyung's POV

"No please, don't.. Appa! You can still live! Don't let go!! Appa!"

I closed my eyes, hearing the cries of the people from the human world and closed the old man's clock. It has been thousands of years, suffering from this nightmare. I get to take people's life, whether I like it or not.

This is not what I want. I never wanted to hear the people cry because they lost someone. But if I won't do my responsibility, I will get punished by the creator. I still have the burns from a century ago.

I didn't want to take the life of the dying mother. She still has a little son and if she's gone, no one will look after him. I took the punishment and let her live.

But what makes me satisfied everyday is seeing this one person crying. It's her 10th life and I was watching her every move everyday. She's ten years old now and she has a dying grandfather.

"Now what do we have here?" I leaned closer to his clock and listened.

"Grandpa.. Please don't go.. Fight for us! It's not your time yet! Hold on.."

It was her. She was crying. I loved hearing it. I always felt sad and regretful whenever I stop someone's time but in her case...I just want her to suffer. I will make her suffer as long as she lives.

I closed his clock.

"Grandpa!!" And that was the last thing I heard.

"Time!" I quickly looked up. It's the cteator.. "What did you do again?!"

"I ended someone's life, just like you kept on telling me. Aren't you happy with what I'm doing?"

"Feeling happy, when that person you despised the most, lost another family member because of you? No. I'm not happy. This is a punishment Taehyung!"

"But she's just paying for what she did."

"She's paying for what she did.." He mocked me. "Yeah like, a thousand years ago! Get over it and stop taking her loved ones' life even if they're not dying!"

"She took my life and I will never forgive her. She's the reason why I'm stuck here."

"Stop blaming her for everything, Time. This was your fault. It's because you used that old clock and turned back time."

"And I wouldn't have done it if she didn't kill my brother."

"As far as I remember, she was supposed to kill you. Wasn't it heartbreaking?"

"What are you talking about? Why would it be?"

"I'm not gonna tell you." He said in a teasing voice and giggled. "Adios! And for your information, Time.. Whenever you feel happy when you take someone's life, you become less human and the chances of you leaving is place is decreasing. You'll never be able to go back to life."

"I know." I looked at my hands. "I'm starting to have silver spots in my hands." But I don't care. I'm happy as long as she's hurting.

I looked at her clock. I've been watching her as she grow. I've been watching her as she pass by and go. I love stopping her time, taking her life. But what makes me more happy is when she cry her heart out.

"No! Not my baby! She can still survive!! Stop saying that she's not gonna last!"

I ran towards that clock and listened to the people.

"I'm sorry Mr. and Mrs. Park."

"No! She can be saved!! Stop saying that!! Yeobo.."

But this is what I feel most of the time. Every second.. Every minute.. But I don't have any choice.

I closed my eyes and held the baby's clock. "I'm sorry." I closed it. Her mother's scream was the last thing I heard and it broke my heart.

Especially when I felt the same way when my hyung died that night. Losing my close friend and brother is like losing my own life. He's the one who understands me the most that's why I'd do everything just to save him.

"Why does everyone have to go?" I turned around and went to her clock. "Why do they have to leave me?" She started sobbing and I leaned closer. "My friends died.. My pets died.. And the only family I have left is my grandma."

I looked at her grandma's clock and held it. "Her grandma's sick. I should just take her life then."

"I don't know what to do if I lose her too. She's the only one I have. Please don't take her too. You already took my parents... Stop it now."

It was a whisper. A desperate whisper of my own killer. "Fine. I'll give you this. But when your grandma couldn't take it anymore..I have no choice." I let go of her grandma's clock and sighed. "You should thank me for this, Kim Jennie. At least I still have a tiny concern for you."
