🕕Her Reason

A thousand years ago..

He saw his brother running towards him. "Taehyung!!" He shouted. "Taehyung run!!"  Baekhyun ran towards Taehyung and took the bullet.

*Gun shot*

"Hyung!!" Baekhyun fell down. Blood was dripping from his shoulder. "No.. Hyung get up!!"

"It's okay.. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine..."

Jennie's hands were shaking. "B-baekhyun.." She dropped the gun and ran towards them. "I'm sorry. I didn't want to.. Baekhyun!!"

"Hold on.." Taehyung called and ambulance and they took him to the hospital.

He was saved.

It was only his left shoulder that was shot. The bullet was far from his heart. He was lucky he didn't lose too much blood.

"Hyung.."

"Yah Taehyung-ah. I'm okay. It's just my shoulder. At least you're alive. I don't want to lose my little brother."

"I'm sorry." Taehyung hugged him. "Thank you for saving me hyung. I owe you my life." He slowly backed away, making sure that he didn't hit Baekhyun's injured shoulder.

"What are brothers for? Why were the both of you there anyway? And why was there.. A guy?"

"I found Jennie and that Connor guy kissing in the library. I wanted to tell you. She was cheating on you and I'm not letting her get away with it. They tried to stop me. He accidentally shot himself because he attempted to shoot me to shut me up."

"So it's true. She really has someone else." Taehyung widened his eyes at what Baekhyun said.

"Wait. You knew about this? Why didn't you confront her?"

"It was just a feeling. I can't blame her. I was too busy at work. We fought most of the time. I've been ignoring her for weeks now because of the pressure at work. We even had a big fight last week because she saw me with a girl which was my co-worker."

"But that doesn't mean she should look for someone else! You deserve better hyung. That's the problem with her. When you're not around her, she looks for another guy."

"Here we are again.. Taehyung, haven't you moved on already?"

"I'm not mad at you if that's what you're thinking. I'm just saying, she should be loyal to her lover. I don't want her to hurt you too."

"She's nice. She would give her all to the people she loves. It's just sad that, I've lacked as her boyfriend."

"She just doesn't know how to understand the situation." The door opened revealing Jennie. "What are you doing here? Get out!"

"I just want to talk to talk to him."

"What? You shot him and now you want to talk to him?"

"Taehyung." Baekhyun called. "I want to talk to her. Can you give us some time alone?" Taehyung glared at Jennie before going out. "Let's talk?"

Jennie walked towards him, crying. It wasn't her intention to hurt him. Not even to hurt Taehyung. She felt very sorry, not just for them, but for herself. "Baekhyun.. I didn't want to.."

"Don't cry. I know you're just going through a lot. And I'm sorry for not being a good boyfriend. I should've known about your family issue."

"It's not your fault Baekhyun. I lost control of myself. I.. I lost myself. Everything was just moving so fast." She wiped her tears.

"My condolences. Your mom's in a better place now." She smiled at him and nodded. "You're a good person Jennie. I know that. Taehyung knows that too. Except for him, I think he still haven't moved on."

"I know. I didn't know how to start the conversation. Or how I'm going to explain everything."

"Just tell him the truth."

"I'll do what I can. I'm sorry for doing this to you. Thanks for always understanding me." Baekhyun smiled at her and before she left, she kissed his forehead and said goodnight.

"Good. Now that you're leaving.. Don't come if I'm around." He was about to go inside but Jennie stopped him and held his wrist.

"We need to talk." They went outside the hospital. Jennie started the conversation. "You know how much I love you before, right?"

"Here we go again.. Can you stop talking about that?"

"Taehyung, listen. Believe me or not, I didn't want to break up with you. I still love you after you came back. But your parents asked me a favor. They wanted me to cut all ties with you. They're your parents. I can't go against them."

"So it's because of their stupid favor?! Just because they don't want you for me, you're just gonna end everything?!"

"They know what's best for you! And I'm just some normal girl, trying to fit in in your world!"

"And I don't care! I don't care if they hate you! I don't care if they think that you're too low to be my girlfriend! We love each other and that's what matters!!" He cupped her cheeks and asked, "Jen, do you still love me?"

"Taehyung.. That was before. I'm into Baekhyun and I love him."

"How.. I don't understand." He let go of her and backed away. "I thought they didn't like you?"

"For you. But your brother helped me move on. I developed feelings for him and he did too. Taehyung, please move on. Put everything in the past and look for someone else. It's just not me."

"No.. Jennie," He held her hands. "I can't. I can't move on from someone who I love so much. It's hard to accept the fact that you like somebody else now."

"I can't do anything about it. I'm.. I'm sorry."

"Of course you can do something. Break up with him and I will make you love me again. I don't care if my unfair parents abandon me. I promised you that I will do anything for you and I really will. I still love you Jennie. That didn't change a bit."
