Taehyung ran back to Jennie's house. The door was locked. He had no choice but to break it to get in. "Jennie!!"
He ran to her room and tried opening the door. "Jennie! Open the door! It's Taehyung!! Jennie!! Kim Jennie!!" He kept turning the doorknob but the door won't open. "Fvck!" He took a stool and kept on hitting it.
After the necessary damage, he immediately ran towards her body lying on the floor.
"Jennie!" He quickly lifted her and kept her in between his arms. "No, no... Jennie!! Wake up!" A knife on her stomach caught his attention. He quickly pulled it out and threw it away. "Jen! Jennie you have to open your eyes! You're alive! Right?! Jennie!!"
He found himself crying. This was something he didn't expect would happen. Indeed, he became a total jerk but he didn't know she'd end up like this because of him. It wasn't his intention.
"Jennie!! You have to wake up!! Kim Jennie!! Please.." He hugged her tight and burried his face on her neck. He didn't mind the temperature of her body. He lost her and it's because of him. "I'm sorry.. Jen I'm so sorry.." He whispered. "I shouldn't have said those things to you. I got out of hand. I was being too much. Jen you have to come back.. You will still forgive me..."
And there's that feeling again. This whole scenario looked so much like his past. The day when he accidentally killed his brother. It's deja vu and he hates it. The same feeling. The same atmosphere. It's as if he's back at his own time.
"No.. No, I'm not going through this again.. Jen! Jennie!!" He tried to listen to her heartbeat.. "You can't die.. You shouldn't die!" ...but there was nothing. "Jennie Kim!! You can't die like this! Jennie!! Wake up.. Jen wake up!!"
"Taehyung.." He wasn't aware that two souls were just looking at him. "Tae stop crying!"
"He won't hear you." The man beside her spoke. "Only souls who stayed here for a long time can talk to humans. He can't hear anything right now."
"Baek.. This is unfair. I want to talk to him! I want to tell him that I'll be fine!"
"Then why did you have to end your life?!" She backed away. "Why can't you tell that to yourself?! You'll be fine.. But you chose death instead of fighting for yourself!"
"I can't find my purpose! I'm alone! I'm fvcking useless! Why do I still need to live?! No one cared about me! I have no one else!"
"Look.. Taehyung was wrong about hurting your feelings. But you're wrong too. You took advantage of him. Both of you are wrong, Jennie. You have a complicated life and I've seen your struggles. Everything affected you. You knew you needed someone and that would've been him. If you just treated him better then this wouldn't have happened."
"I know and I regret the things I've done."
"He loves you. He's mad at you but he still loves you Jen. That's why he came back. But he was too late."
Both of them were just watching him, shouting and asking her to wake up. Acceptance is really hard for him, especially when it comes to his loved ones. "Come back please.. I want to say sorry.. I want to talk to you.. Jennie!"
"Taehyung.. I'm okay now. I learned my lesson. And I forgive you. I hope you'll forgive me too."
The atmosphere suddenly became quiet as ticking sounds started to be heard.
"What's happening? Baekhyun. Are you hearing that?" He just nodded and looked at Taehyung. "Is he hearing it too? What is this?"
"The Chronomagus." Jennie widened her eyes.
"What?!"
"It's that clock. It's.. It's calling him." Both of them turned to Taehyung who slowly stood up.
"He shouldn't find that thing! It's too dangerous!"
Taehyung ran to the drawer and looked for it. Jennie's heart started to race. "He shouldn't see it!!" She ran towards him and tried to push him away. "Taehyung stop!! Don't look for it!! No!!" Because of her state, she couldn't stop him. Taehyung found the Chronomagus and ran back to her dead body. "No.. You can't use it to bring me back!!"
"I'll fix this. You shouldn't end up like this."
"Taehyung! You're gonna be punished forever! You can't go back again!"
He opened it and looked at her. "I'm sorry for always breaking my promises. But you won't remember any of that. I wish you happiness."
Slowly, he turned the hands of the clock, going back to the first day when they saw each other at the bar.
"You won't remember me when you wake up. But I'm happy that I got to be with you again. I hope you find someone who will love and look after you. Goodbye Jennie.."
