She's back and she hasn't told me. She's back and she hasn't told me. She's right there. Right behind me. She's back and she hasn't told me.

Santana wanted nothing more than to turn around, and have a look at the blonde girl who was seated right behind her. The light seeping from the window must have framed her perfect face flawlessly. Santana struggled not to turn, not to admire the beautiful reflection of the morning light on Quinn's peachy skin. She struggled not to reach out.

The feeling was that of a drowning man who couldn't manage to shout for help.

Santana's body yearned for Quinn's touch. Her need was almost physical.

Yet Quinn hadn't even acknowledged her yet.

Maybe Quinn didn't remember her. That thought hurt her like a punch in the gut.

What if she doesn't? What is there to remember anyway? That she had to change towns so that you would stop following her around?

Maybe Lucy had never cared about her. At that, Santana's breathing hitched.

She changed her name, her name. Of course, she doesn't want you to know it's her.

Maybe Santana had been the only friend that Lucy could have at the time, and Lucy had only hung out with her for lack of a better choice.

So, Santana kept her gaze forward.

The class bell rang, signaling the end of the period.

Santana hadn't listened to a word of the whole lecture. She watched, as students left the classroom, and could literally feel the blonde girl passing next to her, the hypnotizing sway of her hips making it impossible to watch anything else.

Santana wanted to believe that she could have their friendship back. She did. And all it took was a Hey. All she had to do was stop Quinn, and then...

But Santana didn't stop Quinn.

She couldn't. She couldn't have handled her rejection once more.

She waited until Quinn got out, and gathered her things before standing up.
