Chapter 38 - Cleansing

Santana entered the shower like a zombie, her mind still focused on the scene that had unfolded between them.

She pushed me away. She pulled me close, and then she pushed me away. What does it mean?

She shook her head. Games. Always games.

Santana tugged at her pants frustratedly. The gesture must have triggered something, because suddenly panic seized her again. Her gaze traveled down her belly to her numb core, and visions of Puck popped before her eyes.

She saw his smug face grinning at her and tore at her clothes to get rid of them.

Clean. I need to get clean-

In her haste Santana ripped her shirt open. She stepped in the shower and turned the water on, turning up the heat until she felt the water scorching her skin, purging her of her shame and disgust.

She pushed the lever harder. The water couldn't get any hotter.

Santana reached for the soap, her left hand still holding the shower head. Like a maniac she rubbed the soap against her skin, scrubbing as hard as she could when she reached her private parts.

She couldn't feel the heat from the water anymore, too focused on getting rid of this coat of shame on her body.

Puck's cologne still overwhelmed her nostrils. She had always found the scent too strong, too manly, but now she was smelling it on her, and surely Quinn had smelt it too, and-

I need to get rid of it- it's on me- imprinted on my skin-

The thought sent Santana in a frenzied state of panic, and she rubbed, and rubbed, harder and harder, the chemical soap burning her core, the water running, scorching hot against her tender skin.
