"Duke?" I whimpered his name, not getting an answer in these woods. " Donnie? Osa? Hello?" Still, no answer... not even the smallest sound.
"I'm here, Vincent." A cold male voice had sent shivers up my spine. I turn around on my pawn to face the owner of the voice, hoping that I was wrong about who I thought it was. "You don't look very happy to see me." He said, stepping out of the shadows, followed by his men. I was surrounded in a split second -- There are so many of them!
I started to step back. "Sam..."
"How was the present I sent you?" He asked, smirking evilly.
"Present?" I said, trying to sound more fearless than I actually was.
"Dumb bitch." Sam muttered. "I'm talking about the Walker!" He raised his voice, walking right for me. "It was to show you what my men do to women who are pregnant. So, you better watch yourself."
Why was he doing this? Why is he so mean, brutal, devilish, cruel, all of the crazy words? Why is he the way he is? Why does he kill people?!
I fixed my glare on him. "Look," My breath shook, desperate to hide my fear from him. "W-Walk away right now. No one has to get hurt here."
Sam stepped closer. "We're not here to hurt you... too badly." Sam says, causing my heart to sink to my stomach. "Grab her."
I felt hands. Strong...hands. They forced me to my knees. I chenched my teeth together as I do my absolute best to fight back, but it was no use. Sam's men are far stronger than I am. Of course, they would be.
Sam knelt down to my level. "You should have appreciated the warning more the first time." He said quietly before standing back up. "Bring it out!"
I watched two of Sam's men with catch poles bring out the pregnant Walker. The... same one that I had seen before. Her entire skin tone is destroyed with grey shades, and Fresh blood drizzled from her mouth and wounds. Ugh... the child was roaring, too, trying to get out of its little cubby-- its mother. "No. No, no, no! Donnie put that thing down!"
"Did he, now?" Sam said, still giving that awful smile. "Bring it closer. I don't think she believes it's real."
"No. It's real! I believe it's real!!" I struggled to get out of the Benolovian soldiers' hold, but all I saw was a nasty set of jaws coming my way. The Walker chomped and snarled the whole time while her infected child copied her actions.
"Take a good long look!" Sam barks. I'm still trying to break free. "Who does she look like to you? Huh?! Because I see a striking resemblance!" He laughed.
"No!" I screamed, crying at this point. "No!" He is laughing! Sam is laughing so hard because he finds this as great entertainment. He can hardly breathe. I look back at the Walker... This time, she is closer than before. Close enough for me to hear her whisper 'die'.
"Wake up, Vincent!" Sam shouts in my ear. "Believe in it! Wake up!"
"NO!" My shrieks could be heard throughout the whole forest. The tears were crocodile tears; heavy and hot.
"Vincent! Wake up!" My eyes bolt open to see Duke hovering above me. He looked very concerned. Gasping sharply, I sat up in our cot and felt my heart beating incredibly fast. In a comforting gesture, he rubbed my back while he embraced me in one of those amazing hugs of his. I'll never get over those hugs. "It's okay. It was just a nightmare."
