There was a sliver of time to Bryce's body back home to EdgePort.
Instead of bringing Bryce home to EdgePor right away, Donnie had the group camp out in a house for the night. Infected were beginning to swarm the area and it was not the best choice to travel at night. Donnie put his horse in one of the garages to assure his animal's safety while he and the others took cover in a house.
In the bathroom of this abandoned house, Osa examined the cut she received from Donnie. It's a good and clean cut across her right cheek. The blood was already dried up on her face but the gash was still visible. She didn't want to touch it because she was afraid that was going to trigger more blood flow. Osa used a smoker's lighter to see the damage on her face in the dark restroom and blew out the flame when she was finished examining the wound. She walked down the hallway and saw Donnie had a look of disappointment on his face. He had no intentions of hurting her. Never.
"Oh," He says, seeing the cut on her face. "I'm sorry, Osa. I-- I feel awful." Donnie told her.
"Don, you don't have to apologize," Osa says, feeling her cheek throb. "I'm okay. I'm--"
"Osa, look what I did to your face!" He sharply said. Donatello would do anything to get rid of Rep. He would trade anything to have his normal life back even if it means having to continue to live in the apocalypse. He just didn't want to constantly live in fear when it comes to that personality. He doesn't like what he created. "Let me stitch it up."
If it made Donnie feel better, then Osa was going to let him. "Okay." Osa definitely remembers getting stitches. She lost count of how many times she's been sutured up. In the living room of the house, Donnie stitched up her pretty little face, getting the privilege to look into her eyes as he took care of her. "Thank you."
The mutant turtle adjusted himself on the couch with his girlfriend, grinning at her as he tied the last suture. "For you, anytime." He packed up his aiding supplies into his pack. "I'm gonna radio Leo-- tell him we'll be back in the morning."
"You gonna tell him about... You know?" Osa referred to Bryce.
Don shook his head, standing from the couch. "No. We don't need him worrying." He walks down the hall of the house to have a private conversation with Leo through the walkie.
While Donnie conversed with Leo on the radio, Osa got up from the couch and closed the curtains of the house, and turned around to see her group is getting situated in the home for the night. "We'll leave at first light," Osa says to them, walking to the kitchen where a pillow and blanket waited for her.
"Osa." A male voice said, getting Osa's attention. It's the mutant panther, Charlie. "Do you think we'll live in peace one day?"
Osa takes one of the kitchen chairs at the old and rotting kitchen table and scoots it to the living room. Next, she takes a blanket and pillow and sighed deeply at Charlie's question. "Maybe one day. If it's our plan to win against Bendova then we'll do our best to live in peace."
Coming from the living room, leaning at the bottom of the couch, Faith speaks. "Eva, the telekinetic chic in West Group said she can't see us winning the war."
Osa is quiet for a second. "We all need to have some kind of hope, guys. And... We are already at war. We've been at war since Sam killed our friends in the lineup."
"I've never seen such brutality." Says Riley, the second twin of Charlie the panther. "Hopefully, all the carnage will come to an end."
"It won't, Riley," Osa said. "Nowadays it won't. It's the world we live in."
