Of course, it was going to be very difficult-- a very hard pill to swallow for anybody. Now that Casey and Nathan are dead, a funeral had been arranged for the people that had known them. It's to pay their respects and mourn their absence.

Their bodies were buried right next to Christine's, Raphael's previous girlfriend who had died in childbirth. Zayn and Roan gathered closely to Nathan's deathbed and respected him by setting bouquets of yellow and white flowers on the small dirt mound that marked his grave. To make the funeral even more special and to honor this young man, small rocks and larger stones were placed around the oval-shaped pile of dirt. Roan and Zayn stood side by side, grieving their friend as they held one another.

Out of Leonardo's group, Patience was emotionally damaged the most out of everybody. She cries her eyes out, refusing to speak to anybody and she could hardly contain herself at the service of her brother, Casey Jones. The white-scaled mutant lizard is thankful to have friends who will surround her brother's grave and say whatever nice things they had to share. She had no idea that her twin would make an impact on her friends' lives in many different ways. Now that he has gone, Patience doesn't know how she will move on from this. She wanted to kill Sam, she wanted to end him herself because he brutally ended her brother.

After Samuel's stupid and horrific visit, a few different people were affected. One of those people was Osa. She is unable to walk because that man had destroyed her prosthetic leg and it was difficult for her to walk. And just like at the beginning of the apocalypse, Donatello carried her as much as possible. The poor shapeshifter was bruised up, beaten, and sore from every hit she took from Sam. For a fact, Osa knows she will heal quickly, but she'll never get those images and idiotic laughter she heard last night out of her head.

As people gathered around the graves of Casey and Nathan, Zayn remembered a small memory of Nate. He loved hearing that stupid teenage boy crack so many immature jokes. Zayn would always burst out in laughter, holding his stomach from such amusing pain. Or there was the time when he helped Roan clean the community's weapons and shared some of his best moments before Nathan's sister passed away. Zayn could still see Nate's dirty blonde hair waving in the wind with a sharp-edged jaw, and his British accent echoing out through the community. It sucks... No one will be able to see his face or hear his voice again.

And nobody will be able to see or hear Casey Jones. Most of the group he was associated with knew he was a great hockey player, a great friend, and someone that they could rely on for advice or just to hear a joke or two. Michaelangelo, Raphael, and Patience mourned at his grave for the next 15 minutes after the service had ended. It was sweet for some of the community members to apologize for the losses they are enduring.

Maddy, the grey alien who befriended as many people as she could, went to go help clean out Nathan's tent. His belongings were in their same place, untouched and feeling unalive... Maddy had asked Donnie and Zayn to clean it out, folding the cot and folding blankets.

While the tent was being stripped of Nathan's belongings, Donnie came to one side of the tent and found a few old x-ray photos, world maps, and theories about the infection. As he piled up the papers, he looked at the pictures and drawings of what he had seen in the past. He didn't think he'd see visual relations to the infection. Don took a look at the x-ray photos and examined them closely, recognizing the shape, and the appearance of a human skull with foreign materials growing on its face. "This is the fungal infection."

Zayn and Maddy were still packing up the tent. As soon as they heard their mutant friend speak, they turn to Donatello holding the photos.

"Yes," Zayn said, his eyes bloodshot, still heartbroken. "Nathan always wanted to know how the infection began and-or worked. Before Bendova took me, he told me what he thought and it made sense... in a way. What is certain, we don't know for sure how it works."
