I take the long walk home. Mainly to take a deeper thought about my decision I had just made.

"You're so stupid, Samantha." I say pounding my palms against my forehead. "He's only going to do the same thing again."

I open my eyes and find myself at my apartment. My parents are at work. It's just Amy and my younger brother.

"Amy, Dylan, I'm home." I drop my bags on the kitchen counter and get a glass of water.

"Hey, Sam!" Dylan says giving me a hug.

"Hey, Dyl." I say hugging him back. "How was school?"

"Eh. The usual." Dylan is in his third, and final, year of junior high. He's pretty excited about it, too."How was your school day?"

I take a sip of my water and sit at the dinner table.

"The usual," I mock. "Crappy."

"Sammy! Oh my goodness! Please, tell me.." Amy rushes to my side, holding her cellphone up to my face.

There's a post from about thirty minutes ago from Luke.

'Too easy. Too easy.' with a picture of half my face.

"That little fuck!" I grab Amy's phone and study the picture, and think about the words.

"What? What is it?" Dylan asks, trying to sneak a peak.

"Dylan, put your shoes on. We're going for a drive." I mischievously smile and give Amy's phone back.

"I hope you don't expect me to drive, because..I don't know where he lives." Amy says, tucking her hair behind her ear.

"I can." I say, grabbing my purse.

"Uh, Sam, the last time you drove, y-"

"Sh!" I cut Dylan off. "Are you guys coming, or what?" I hold open the door for us three.

Let the drive begin.

I knock on the door, assuming Liz has returned.

The door opens, and Luke answers, instead of Liz.

Luke has changed from his school clothes into a beanie and some sweatpants. No top.

I try to keep my focus as to why I'm here: not what my eyes want to see.

"Didn't you just leave?" Luke, adjusting his pants, says.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I interrupt something?" I ask, hand on my hip.

"No. I just asked if you just left."

I nod.

"Come in." Luke expands the door for Amy, Dylan, and I to enter.

"Do you guys want something? Drink? Eat?.." Luke rummages through his pantry and refrigerator. "Well, if so, it's there."

Dylan jumps off the couch to the refrigerator. He and Luke used to be close when Luke and I were friends.

"So, why'd you come here?" Luke asks, lying on the sofa.

"This," I hold my phone up to his face, showing the post from earlier.

Luke scratches the back of his neck, and adjusts the Beanie on his head.

"Well.."

"Too easy? What's that supposed to mean?" I ask, holding it closer.

"Sam."

"Luke."

"I..I..I didn't expect you to agree so soon."

"With eyes as gorgeous as yours, it's kind of hard not to." I lower my phone, and keep my stare with Luke.

"I can't help it." Luke, defensively, holds his hands up.

"No. You're right. But you can help the fact you're being a dick again." I walk past him out the door.

I knew I shouldn't have forgave too soon.

This is no ones fault but my own.

Not even Luke's.
