Sam's P.O.V.
"Luke, you're such an idiot," I protest as I break the hug.
"Not just any idiot. I-"
"Don't even say it." I interrupt.
"Say what?"
"I'm your idiot," I say with a face.
"Awh! Sam! No one has said that to me!" Luke pulls me in for a bear hug.
"No, I meant-forget it." I wrap my tiny arms around his tall frame, breathing in his scent. It's different today than before. It's mixed with a hint of alcohol, axe body spray and wash, and that fresh sheet smell. It's a beautiful smell, to me, lingering on a beautiful person.
If Luke had slipped out of my hands last night, I'd be hungover somewhere right now. I'd be so wasted and high, I wouldn't know where I was. I'd let myself go, like once before. Only this time, I'd let it go too far.
"What are you thinking about?" Luke, messing my hair up, asks. He sways us back and forth like he had done the night before.
"Nothing." I say, looking up at him, then back down.
"You're thinking of something, because you've got that look on your face."
"I was just.. I don't know."
"Sam."
"Fine." I sigh. "I was thinking about what would have happened and where I would be right now if you had walked out of my life, again, completely." I shrug my shoulders and play with a loose string on my sweater. I really need to get a new one. I've had this one for almost two years, and it's becoming too small.
The red is fading to a dark pink, and the black is fading to grey. There once were little bows on the sleeves of them, they had fallen off last year. My grandma had gotten it for me, and I couldn't tell her no. I wear it on the weekends, or extremely cold days.
"And where would that be?" Luke asks, watching as I pick at the loose string.
"I'd be outside some bar, wasted and probably high, waiting to be somebodies prostitute. I'd probably have three beer bottles, full, beside me, planning to drag them with me to wherever else I would disappear to."
Luke laughs. "I don't know. You don't seem to be the type of girl to do that."
"It happened three years ago, minus the prostitute part. And it can happen again." I say
"Well, it can happen again. But I'd come looking for you."
"When? Before or after you and Jasmine fucked?" I cross my arms over my chest.
Luke stares in the particular area, mouth slightly open.
"Before." he finally responds.
"So," I drop my arms to my sides, "you admit you'd fuck her. Harder than me?"
"Sam! No. I was just saying I'd drop her over you any day."
"Really? Then why'd you cheat on me, Luke?" I ask, waiting an answer.
Luke's eyes dart, twice, from the walls to mine. His eyes, once majestic blue, now soft blue. His lips form an "o" shape as he thinks of a reply.
"I am stupid. That's why." His head drops to the ground.
"A'man to that," I mumble. "I don't blame you, though. I'd cheat on me, too, if I were dating me."
Luke's eyes sadden and become darker.
"But I love you, and I'm not good enough to show you I do. I'm not enough. I'll never be enough." Luke slides down the kitchen counter, bringing his knees to his head, crying.
I bow beside him, wrapping my arms around him. "Don't you say that again, dammit. You're more than enough. You're perfect. I'm sorry I make you feel that way, Luke. I'm sorry. I love you. You show to me how much you love me in every little thing you do for me daily. That's all I notice when we're together. From the good morning texts and kisses, to the goodnight calls. Those are the things I want in a relationship. They're what I want from you. Saying yes to being your girlfriend, twice, was the best thing I had ever said yes to, Luke. I don't care how much money you spend on me, in fact, I don't want you spending any on me. I don't care how much time we spend together. I just want to know you'll always be there for me, together or apart. I love you, Luke Robert Hemmings."
Luke looks at me and smiles through tears. "Do you mean that?"
I nod in agreement. "I do. Every word. I'd say it again if I had to."
Luke kisses my lips, pulling me in to a hug.
"You're amazing, Samantha. I love you to the heavens and back."
Every feeling I have for Luke grows stronger in moments like this.

Hello, fellow people! How are you? Good? Good :)
I hope you like this chapter a tiny bit, I'm sorry for the mistakes I've made in it. (Too much detail, and not enough on some things.)
Lemme just take a moment to tell you that there will be another twist here soon in this book, similar to before, but different. I'm going to try to make it a bit more dramatic (because who doesn't like drama, right?)
Well, I love you.
That is all.
I love you❤️❤️<3
