Aimie awoke to muffled sounds coming from down the corridor, she was confused, to say the least, she reached over to her light pink dressing table and picked up her phone.
"2:16" she groaned.
No-one was ever up this early, the first person to get up was always Natalie but she often awoke at around 4:30. And no-one would still be awake because J'Jaye and Millie were the only ones who physically could stay up past 11:30 and even they couldn't make it past 1:30. So, curiously Aimie got up, she couldn't be bothered to make her bed as she knew she wouldn't be up for long and could go back to sleep later but they were going out as a family so it might not be much more but she'll take it. Grabbing her dressing gown and slippers, she gently shut the door and walked down the corridor.
As she walked down she pressed her ear against each door, she knew this was slightly creepy but someone she loved could be hurt or upset so she didn't care, anyway, no-one except her would know that she did it, would they?
As she reached the last two doors she was puzzled. The muffled sound wasn't coming from anyone else's room, but the sound had got much quieter however Aimie was still determined to find out where the sound was coming from. She went to place her ear on the door but noticed the light was on through the gap between the door frame.
"Leanne..."
She opened the door to find her niece distraught sitting on her bed hugging her knees and scrolling on her phone.
