Maya's POV:
I watched TV while waiting for Riley to finish her homework. She kept begging me to do my homework and I told her I will if she does hers first (so I could secretly copy off her). After she finished I copied off her and we sat on her window.
I take out a sheet of paper and start sketching the beautiful night sky. Riley peeks at my paper to see what I was drawing.
"That's amazing Maya! How do you do that?" She asks.
"I just look for inspiration I guess," I say as I kept sketching.
Riley yawns and checks the time.
"It's 9:00pm, don't you want to sleep?" Riley asks as she plops herself on her bed.
"Not yet, I'll sleep in a few minutes," I promise her.
I stay up sketching and coloring and painting. My inspiration was overflowing. After a while I check the time. 10:27pm. I decide to clean up my drawings and go to sleep.
I plop myself next to Riley, who was now asleep. I kiss her cheek and whisper "goodnight". I could see her faintly smile. I start burying myself into my thoughts and drifted to sleep

Riley's POV:
I didn't actually sleep. I couldn't. Maya kept sleep talking and crying. She kept mentioning her mom and that she was hungry. I was growing more worried by the second. She kept mentioning that she didn't want to live anymore. I was shocked and started crying. I was so scared that I woke Maya up.
"MAYA! GET UP! GET UP PLEASE!" I scream. She quickly gets up.
"W-what's wrong?" She says sounding startled and worried.
"YOU! You were crying and saying you didn't want to live in your sleep!" I cry as a hug her and bury my face into her shoulder.
"I don't sleep talk," Maya says confusingly.
"Yes you do! Maya is it true that you don't want to live?" I ask looking at her face, hoping the answer was no.
"M-no, it was just a bad dream that's all," Maya resisted. She said goodnight and laid back down. She drifted off to sleep. I wrap my arms around her, kiss her on the cheek, and say goodnight.
