Maya's POV:

"OVER THERE!" Sirens blared. Shit.

Riley quickly packed up our stuff and we ran as fast as we could. We tried outrunning the police but we both knew we couldn't outrun them for long. I had to find us a place to hide for a bit.

As we turned a corner, I saw some store buildings. Great, we could hide behind one of those. I grabbed Riley's hand and dragged her behind one of the stores.

"You shouldn't be running away from the cops, little girls!" A very old man yelled out. I found a huge trash barrel behind the store, so I opened the lid and jumped in.

"You comin'?" I ask Riley, who just stood there.

"Do I have to?" She peeks inside the trash.

"Not unless you want to be caught!"

"Oh fine..." She slowly tries to put in her leg. I sigh, grab her leg, and pull her in. She screams and I quickly shut the lid. I put my hand over her mouth.

"Hello, yes I'm behind the store looking for the runaways." We hear. It was the cops. We also hear something jingle and a bark. I remained as silent as possible.

After 5 minutes, I hear absolutely nothing. I peek open the lid and see no one. Good. I completely open the lid and hop out. Riley stayed in.

"Riles, don't worry, they're gone."

"You sure?"

"Yes! Now come on, we have to find somewhere safe to stay."

Topanga's POV:

I glance at the clock. 8:56pm.

"Come on Auggie, time for bed." I say.

"Awww, but I'm not tired!" Auggie whines.

"Yes, but you've got school tomorrow."

Auggie sighs and drags himself upstairs. I was all alone in the living room. I didn't mind, for the almost three weeks that Riley and Maya were gone, I was used to it. Auggie always had to sleep early. Cory was out most of the time looking for Riley and Maya. Shawn was always with him. Especially, Riley and Maya weren't here because they were out running away, running away from us. Oh, what did I do to drive them away? I teared up.

"Mommy? Can you tuck me in?" Auggie asks, with a little sadness in his voice.

"Sure thing Auggie. What's wrong?" I grab his hand and take him up to his room.

"I miss Riley." A tear drips down his face as he pouts.

"Me too Auggie, me too." I tuck him in and kiss his forehead. "Goodnight sweetie."

"Goodnight."

I walked downstairs. I felt my heart shatter, hearing Auggie sob. Cory walks in. He glances at my face, which was full of tears, and runs over and hugs me tightly.
