Maya's POV:
"Yeah so Riley and I started dating and everyone seemed to be supporting us all the way and it made Riley and I very happy. Except for a few kids in our class but they don't really matter."
"That's great! And well they're still ignorant little kids, you know? You gotta educate them, make different sexualities seem normal for them." Shawn says.
"How?" I ask. Shawn was extremely helpful and I was very comfortable talking about this all to him.
"Just keep holding hands, kissing, hugging, whatever you do with Riley. Make it an everyday thing and ignore when people insult you. Then, it'll eventually be like an everyday thing for them and they'll get used to it. If the insulting and teasing get out of hand though, always make sure to tell Cory and your friends, they'll always have your back."
"I would if Riley and I were still going out..." I sigh. I really wished I hadn't kissed Xander. I would've still been going out with Riley and been happy as ever. I really hope we get back together soon.
"Well you still haven't told me what happened between you two yet."
"It's a long story."
"I've got all the time in the world!" Shawn smiles.

Riley's POV:It was the end of the day and Maya still hadn't called, texted, or came back. I was very worried. We should've worked things out. I should've given her a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance.
I tried shutting my eyes and going to sleep. I couldn't. My dad knocks on my door.
"Come in." I say. He opens the door.
"I know you're worried about Maya, but I just got a call from Shawn-"
"What does Shawn have to do with Maya?" I interrupted.
"Well let me finish and I'll tell ya!"
"Sorry, bad mood."
"Well apparently Maya tried to break in Shawn's house and she's now staying with him. And don't worry, he'll take her to school and everything."
"He will?"
"I promise."
"Ok, goodnight."
"Goodnight." He walks out. At least Maya was safe. I wished she was still here though. I'll just give her a second chance tomorrow.
---------------------------------------------
Maya's POV:Life at Shawn's was already great. Full access to the fridge, which was full! I got my own neat room with a nice twin- sized bed. Shawn himself was also great, he was easy to relate to. We had a lot in common and we seemed to have a father-daughter relationship.
I talked to him about Riley too. He told me to give her time for her to forgive me, and she eventually will. I had to talk to her tomorrow. I didn't answer her call or texts though. I needed to get advice and she was probably just calling to see where I was.
I just needed to give her time and space. She'll eventually forgive me. In the meantime, I still had Shawn to talk to.
