I was now alone in my dorm room, waiting for my room mate who I've never met.
I order my books in stacks depending on my classes for the next morning and spread my best outfit onto the desk top.
Right as I match my shoes to my jeans and sweater, my door opens.
"Emory?" the girl says as she lays her purse down.
She has short black hair, about to her shoulders, and is wearing white converse with a blue plaid dress. She's very pretty.
"You must be Jade!" I say, as excited as I could spit out.
"I just met your friend Clark, he says a lot of nice things about you. You're here to become a writer?"
"I'm just an English major for now, I would like to write one day, but the future is unknown." I nervously chuckle out.
"Oh, well, it's very nice to meet you. I have all of my things at a friends house, and I'm going to be staying there tonight, but i'll see you tomorrow evening!" She says as she gathers her phone charger and her shoes.
"Okay, we'll continue out learning experience tomorrow then." Why am I so nervous?
As soon as I hear the door close, I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding.
By this time it's 9 o'clock and I haven't heard from anyone.
I have one message from Clark that reminds me he'll pick me up tomorrow evening for lunch if he can get out of practice on time- but nothing from Bailey.
I'm so nervous for freshman orientation tomorrow, I drift off with my planner still in hand.
The loud beep's coming from my alarm clock wakes me up at seven o'clock sharp, leaving me an hour to get ready.
After my shower I straighten my hair out so it doesn't look so messy. When it is fixed naturally, the blonde curls fall to about the middle of my back. I slip into my jeans and a coral sweater with matching shoes, and dig around the bed for my phone.
Just as I read a text from Liah, i hear a knock at the door.
"Ready to go? Clark is already there. He say's the place is crowded already."
Bailey is dressed in black jeans and a dark blue sweater. He looks rather well for someone who didn't have time to call me yesterday evening.
We drive my car to the assembly building, just like we always do when we go somewhere. I drive a year old mustang that my dad bought me as a graduation gift, because Bailey doesn't like to drive his Prius anywhere.
"Last names A-J come to the back of the room, K-S to the middle, and T-Z to the front!" A loud voice booms through the building.
Bailey kisses me on the cheek and says, "I'm a Harrison, so I gotta head to my group. I'll see you later, have fun."
I walk to the middle of the room, since my last name is Shay.
Before I know it, I'm partnered up with a brown eyed boy.
