Lilly and I launched into the next song. I took the lead and she took the back up. We did one of my favorites. The Road Less Traveled by Lauren Alaina. It had become a kind of anthem to my life and never failed to make me smile.

Why do you keep on staring?
That mirror, mirror, it ain't fair at all (mmh)
Dress sizes can't define, don't let the world decide what's beautiful
No

You won't make yourself a name if you follow the rules
History gets made when you're acting a fool
So don't hold it back and just run it
Show what you got and just own it
No, they can't tear you apart

If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled
Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled on
Oh, ooh whoa, oh, ooh whoa
Take the road less traveled on

Don't follow anyone
March to the rhythm of a different drum (mmh)
Why do we analyze, break out, and criticize the crazy ones?
Oh

You won't make yourself a name if you follow the rules
History gets made when you're acting a fool
So don't hold it back and just run it
Show what you got and just own it
No, they can't tear you apart, no

If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled
Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled on
Oh, ooh whoa, oh, ooh whoa
Take the road less traveled on
Oh, ooh whoa, oh, ooh whoa
Take the road less traveled on

Put your hands up, show me that you're one of a kind
Put your hands up, let me hear your voice tonight
Oh

If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled
Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled on

If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled
Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled on
Oh, ooh whoa, oh, ooh whoa
Take the road less traveled on

Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel
Don't be afraid, take the road less traveled on

Traveled on
Take the road less traveled on

Five song later Lilly and I turned it over to Luca to Dj. We would need to hire one for the nights he couldn't be here. It wasn't often he could make the drive from Charming. We made our way to our family, Lilly sat next to her Dad and i squeezed between Angel and Tiki.

"That was amazing. You two are really good." Coco commented.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"He's not wrong, Mi Amor." Angel said as he pulled me closer and kissed my temple. (my love)

"Hes been giving you the stink eye all night." Tiki said as he nodded towards the bar.

"I know, I don't miss much big brother."

"I know. So much like Dad." He smiled.

"That's all I got and my insane ability to catch bullshit." I laughed.

"We miss that back home, but I get it.  You gotta do you and you can't do that with us breathing down your neck. So good luck Angel. She's a handfull." Tiki smiled and I rolled my eyes.

"I got her hermano. Always." Angel told him as he hugged me closer.

"Good. "

I turned to Angel and smiled. He gave me a quick kiss and grabbed my hand. I could do just this the rest of my life. Just be in his arms. We talked and laughed with my mom and both MC's before Lilly and I got back up for the last song.

"Last song of the night y'all." Lilly said as Luca started the music. I took the lead again this time amd Lilly the back up. I let the melody from Kelsea Ballerini's I Hate Love Songs was over me and smiled.

As my voice filled the room, I stared  at Angel. My Angel. My love and nothing had ever felt more right then this moment. My life was finally working out.

I hate Shakespeare and Gosling and cakes with white frosting
Two names in a heart-shaped tattoo
I think cupid is stupid and violets are purple not blue
I hate catching bouquets, the honeymoon phase
And letterman jackets don't fit
Your eyes can't hold stars and you'd die if your heart really skipped

I hate love songs (I hate love songs)
Yeah, I really do (I really do)
I hate love songs (I hate love songs)
But I love you

I hate pink hearts with glitter and Valentine's dinner
And roses just die in a week
We were drunk when we met so we don't know our anniversary, woops
Oh and I'm far too vain to kiss in the rain
The clouds, they aren't numbered to nine
And you make me feel something but it sure as hell ain't butterflies

My brother choked, Angel smiled at me and Chibs and Mom laughed.

I hate love songs (I hate love songs)
Yeah, I really do (I really do)
I hate love songs (I hate love songs)
But I love you, ooh yeah

Oh oh
I really do

And I'll always love you but I don't have to sing it
"For worse or for better" don't rhyme
They say I got the right one so now I should write one
But I'd rather just show you tonight

'Cause I hate love songs (I hate love songs)
Yeah, I really do (I really do)
I hate love songs (I hate love songs)
But I love you, yeah

I hate love songs (I hate love songs)
The old and the new (I really do)
I hate love songs
But I love you
