CALUM DOWN.//

I waited, my fingers fumbling together, for Luke to answer. He just stared, his blue eyes boring into my brown.

Finally I sighed, unable to take the awkward tension and silence. "You know what, this was a bad idea. I shouldn't have told you." I said, standing up and trying not to look at him.

I heard the couch creak slightly, his presence a few mere decimetres away from me. "Calum, no, wait-"

"No, Luke," I said, turning around slightly to face him again. "It's fine. It's okay. I get that you don't feel the same or don't understand."

"Calum, seriously--"

"I'm gonna go, okay?" I said, grabbing my jacket from the back of the couch and putting it on. "Just... Text me or something." I walked towards the door, slipping my Vans on quickly.

"Calum."

"Later, Luke."

My hand reached out for the doorknob but was interrupted when a paler one grabbed it, spinning me around. My breath hitched slightly as I stumbled into his chest, tripping over my feet until his other hand grabbed my arm, steadying me. "Don't go." He said, his early morning sky blue eyes piercing into my dull brown ones.

"Why, Luke?" I asked, feeling hot tears appear at the back of my eyes, but I quickly blinked them away. "It's not like you feel the same, I'm not going to sit around and embarrass myself."

"Cal," He said, removing one of his hands and bringing it up to hold my chin. "You're not embarrassing yourself. And... Can I just try something?"

I stare at Luke, my eyes darting across his face, from his eyes to his nose to his lip ring to his lips. This boy was so undeniably perfect, yet he would never see it.

"Yeah." I breathe quietly after a few seconds.

"Okay."

And he leans forward, pressing our lips together.

I rolled my eyes at Luke as I walked in to the large building, immediately heading towards the cafeteria to buy some breakfast.

"Hi, Calum," Mrs. Marcy greeted me. "The usual?"

"Yes ma'am," I smiled as she handed me a small container filled with potatoes. "Thank you."

"Aw, anything for you kids," She smiled, before heading towards the back.

I went to the counter, handing over my caf card and smiling at Ms. Manson. I was pretty much a regular here.

"Have a good day, hun," She smiled as I walked away, eating the glorious beings also known as potatoes.

As I was walking, I pulled out my phone and checked my messages. I didn't have many except for one;

okay. done. what do i do now??

I rolled my eyes again at this dork, questioning why I loved him with everything I had.
