Artists' Perspective [Deidara x Reader]

New Home-Chapter 4

  (Deidara pov)

"Tobi, Deidara, who is this?" A tall man with orange spiky hair demands as he enters the room, Pain.

"Tobi can explain!" Tobi said cheerfully.

"No he can't" I interrupt "She is a rogue, originally from the Hidden Leaf, we met her on a mission. She is able to do the summoning jutsu, among many other impressive jutsu. You really should let her stay-un"

"Let the girl speak for herself, Deidara" Pain says.

"Happily," Y/n starts sarcastically "everything he said is true, I have no place to live and I hate Konoha so I am willing to help you with any missions"

"I guess a new member wouldn't hurt" Pain says.

"YES!-Wait, am I excited for her to stay? but she is really irritating" I think " I don't know ugh"

(y/n pov)

"Y/n, you are my new favorite senpai!" Tobi squeals.

"Wait seriously?!" Deidara asks "Does that mean you'll leave me alone?"

"I think it just means that I'm better than you" I say.

Pain cleared his throat causing all of us to turn to him.

"There is an extra room down that hall that you can put your things in."  Pain says "After you put away your things we will need to get an idea of your skill-set."

"Thank you" I say starting to look at Deidara and Tobi. 

Tobi starts running down a hallway.

"It's over here Senpai!!" He yells.

A bunch of other people started yelling at him for being too loud. I start walking down the hall. I notice that half of the rooms are on this side and the rest are in a different hall.

"I hope either Deidara or Tobi are in this hall since I don't know anyone else" I think.

When I reach my room I throw my things onto the really old looking bed. In the room there was a decent-sized closet, a bed, a chair and a desk, other than that it was empty and blank.

"Senpai!" Tobi looked at me. 

"What do you need?" I ask coldly.

"You need to show Pain-sama your powers so that you can get a robey-thing like Tobi!" He replies.

"I have to wear a robe like that ugh" I think "Hey, it might look ok it looks pretty good on Deidara and Pain-sama- wait what  am I thinking?!"

I met Pain in the living room and he leads me outside.

"Show me your most advanced jutsu" Pain says his voice always sounds so dead.

"Ok," I say, I start weaving hand signs "Chidori!" I yell.

I threw a ball of lightning at a nearby rock. The rock just crumbled.

"Impressive" Pain  states.

"That's not all" I made more lightning but his time I form it into a blade " Lightning blade!" 

I run at another rock bigger than the last one but it still breaks with ease.

"So you have a lightning nature?" Pain inquires.

"And wind" I add.

"Can you demonstrate?" He asks.

"Wind style: Vacuum wave. Chidori!" I yell.

I sent everything around us flying into the air lightning was swirling all around.

"You are a fine addition to the Akatsuki, Y/n" Pain says in his cold, dead voice. "I'll have Sasori get you a robe and a ring"

"Thank you, Pain-sama" I say with a smile.

(Deidara pov/ mini flashback)

I hear Y/n talking to Tobi she was supposed to show Pain some of her skills. 

"I guess it couldn't hurt to watch" I whisper to myself.

After Pain and Y/n exit I get behind them quietly and hide behind one of the large rocks.

I hear Y/n yell "Chidori!" and look up to see her perfectly executing the lightning jutsu.

"Wow it really is beautiful the way she is able to control so much power, that lightning really is true art-un" I say in my head.

I sit there watching her for a while longer then realize I should probably go inside so that I don't look suspicious. 

(Deidara pov flashback over) 

I hear Y/n thank Pain and realize that if I don't go right now I'll be caught. I slowly use my ring to open the secret opening, just to come face-to-face with Tobi.

"Senpaaaii" Tobi says in a mocking tone. "Were you outside spying on Y/n-senpai?"

"Uh where do you get that idea-un!?!" I said running towards my room.

"AH I MUST LOOK SO FLUSTERED RIGHT NOW WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!?!?" I scream in my head "I should calm down it isn't like I like her or anything is it?- NO it can't be!-un"

 Y/n and Pain enter the hide-out as I step out of my room.

(Y/n pov)

"Hey, I gotta know," I turn to see Deidara behind me standing relatively close to me "Am I stuck with you-un?" he asks with a cocky smirk. 

"Well I guess so-" I start, I was soon interrupted by Pain's loud voice.

"Akatsuki!" The orange-haired man yells across the quiet base.
