(Y/n pov)
"Come on let's go" I say quietly.
We jumped back over the fence and stood next to it. We started looking for a member of ANBU or a village official. Soon we spotted a group of shinobi who looked to be jonin level.
"Hey um, do you know where we might be able to find some ANBU members? We're having a little meeting with some ANBU members" I ask.
"Sure thing" one of them says. "The ANBU are usually in the Hokage's office
"Thank you" I say.
We walked away towards the Hokage's office. I was being careful to not run into anyone who might recognize us. We neared the red building and we stopped.
"Hey 'Aka'" I whisper "Let me see those profiles"
"Here" Sasori hands me the pictures of the 4-man squad that we were in charge of taking out.
I look at the pictures and at the masked men.
"That's them" I whisper pointing to the people in front of the building.
"What do we do-un?" Deidara asks.
"We wait until their shift is over then we confront them and get them alone in the training grounds" I whisper.
We hid and watched them for about 20 minutes before another group appeared. We stood up and walked over towards them as they were leaving.
"Hello we are from the Hidden Sand on orders by the Kazekage" Sasori says.
"Orders by Lord Kazekage" one of them said.
"Yes. It isn't really anything special, we were sent to examine your training grounds because Leaf genin have a high success rate at the chunin exams" I say
"I see" the man says "We can take you to our training facilities. Are you sure you don't want to go tomorrow?"
"It's okay we are used to staying up to protect the Kazekage-un" Deidara says.
"Let us show you then" One of the others says.
We followed them away from the main village and towards a wooded area. The woods surrounded small patches of open land some of which had targets others had agility training.
"Very impressive" Sasori says quietly.
"We typically have genin train an extra year before sending them to the exams. You may want to take notes of that" One of the ANBU says arrogantly.
"Well if I recall correctly, Gaara our Kazekage, killed it in the chunin exams" I say jokingly.
We shared a laugh, me and my teammates were obviously faking but the ANBU bought it. I was itching to finish the mission I was trying not to let it show.
"I have to wait for the signal, I have to wait for the signal, Deidara will give a signal and I can strike, I have to wait" I say to myself. All that I was doing was stressing myself out and remembering my days of horror living in the Leaf.
Deidara was starting to take notice to my anxiousness. He stood closer to me and put his arm around my shoulder. Deidara's presence was actually very comforting.
"Thanks Blondie" I say in my head happily.
The ANBU members kept talking and leading us further and further away from the village. They were totally oblivious.
When we were stopped to look at more training equipment we were spread out in a circle around the ANBU pretending to look around. I was keeping my eyes locked on Deidara's hands this would be a great time to attack. Deidara was watching Sasori waiting for Sasori's signal. Soon enough I see Deidara make a peace sign with his left hand. I drew three shuriken from my pocket. At the same time me and my Sasori jumped into the air ambushing the ANBU group. They scattered only to step on Deidara's bombs. They were caught in a smoke screen. I threw my shuriken into the smoky cloud. I heard someone groan in pain, I must have hit at least one of them. I grabbed a fan from my pocket and swung it a few times. The smoke cleared revealing the stunned shinobi. Sasori and Deidara were hiding in trees waiting to attack. I let them attack me for the sake of the mission. One of the ninja used a fire jutsu on me which I dodged quickly.
