Artists' Perspective [Deidara x Reader]

Groceries-Chapter 18

It had been a few days since we got back home. Everyone was home and none of us had really done much. Yesterday I talked with Itachi for a few hours about a book and the day before that I had a prank war with Hidan. Me, Itachi, Hidan, Deidara, Sasori and Kakuzu were sitting on the couch watching a horror movie. 

"I'm gonna get some lunch do any of you want anything?" I asked as I stood up.

"Yeah' I'll go with you" Deidara says standing up too.

"I'll go too" Itachi said joining us.

"Get me something to drink" Hidan demanded.

"Is that it?" I asked.

I got scattered responses from the group. 

"Um okay?" I say, confused from their responses.

I walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge. We had almost nothing. Usually we have some lemonade and plenty of food. All that was in the fridge was a few bottled waters and an apple or two. I grabbed a water bottle for Hidan and one for myself.

"Could you hand me one?" Itachi asked.

"Yeah it's the last one" I said handing him the other water bottle.

Deidara was looking in the cabinets, I joined him looking for something to eat. We had nothing, but a bag of popcorn and some pretzels.

"Hey guys, when did we last go shopping?!" I yelled into the living room.   

"It's been awhile-un" Deidara says closing the cabinet with disappointment in his voice.

"Huh, I couldn't tell" I say sarcastically.

"True. We should probably restock" Itachi said seriously not understanding my sarcasm.

"Only if we don't want to starve" I continue jokingly. 

"Let's go ask Leader-sama" Deidara suggested.

"Let's go" I say speed walking into the living room with Itachi and Deidara following me.

I grabbed Hidan and Sasori by the wrist and dragged them with me down the hallway to Pain's office, followed by  Deidara, Kakuzu, and Itachi. I knocked on the door to Pain's office.

"Come in" I heard Pain's voice.

I open the door and stepped into the office. The rest of the group stepped in behind me.

"What did you need, Y/n-sama?" Pain asked politely.

"The thing is" I start to explain "We were going to eat lunch together and we don't actually have food"

"I see" Pain said. "You're proposing that we go grocery shopping" 

"Yes" I say.

"We can go if you want-un" Deidara offers.

"Can you not drag me into this, damn it!?" Hidan complains.

"We can all go together" Pain says having made up his mind.

"We should probably go today so that we can eat today" I say through a smile.

"Then it's final. We'll all go together later today" Pain declares over dramatically.

 "Hai!" I say stepping back out of the office.

 The rest of my hungry friends followed me back into the living room. We sat around doing nothing for about half an hour before the rest of the Akatsuki joined us,
