Artists' Perspective [Deidara x Reader]

Shopping Trip pt. 2- Chapter 8

(Y/n pov)

"Yeah, I guess" I reply.

We speed up a little trying not to look suspicious. We arrive at the art supplies store.

"I think it's probably best if we stick together" I suggest.

"What do you need me to protect you Princess" Deidara says trying to antagonize me.

"You know very well that I don't need you Blondie" I quickly clap-back "I think I might go look at the sketching and painting stuff" 

 "Don't get hurt" Deidara says through a smirk.

I don't respond I just walk away. I find the paint aisle and start scanning up and down the shelves. 

"Hmm, I definitely need to buy more black and purple, maybe some yellow too" I ponder putting my head on my hand.

 I end up grabbing black, yellow, purple, and a metallic red just because I thought it was cool. I wander around a little bit before reaching the sketching aisle. I pick up a small spiral bound sketchbook that I could fit in a small purse. After picking up the sketchbook I decide I shouldn't buy anything else. I start walking towards the check-out area. A guy about my age was counting my items and finding out my total. 

"Huh, this dude looks pretty gullible. I bet I could get a discount out of this fool" I start to think up a pretty evil plan. "Things like this are why I fit in with the Akatsuki"

As soon as he looks up at me to tell me my total I gasp in my best kawaii girl impression and look down at my hands. 

"Are you okay miss?" He asked he seems pretty naive this should work.

"Oh sorry I get nervous around cute peo- *gasp*!" I put my hands over my mouth and tried to look flustered. "I'm so sorry I'm pretty awkward around cute guys like you" 

"Oh-uh thanks I guess! You're pretty cute too!" he replies rubbing the back of his neck.

"I uh guess I'll just pay now" I say giggling nervously 

"Well-uh let me give you a discount! I'm sure my boss won't mind if I explain how cute you are!" he offers.

"Oh that's  okay I don't deserve special treatment" I squeak.

"NO! I insist!" he actually seemed to like the fake kawaii me.

"Oh thank you!!"

 With that I pay about half of what I should and start to walk out of the store. After I was a safe distance away I whisper in my usual voice "Ha! Sucker" and wait at the entrance for Deidara.

(Deidara pov)

I was shopping for some clay and overheard the cashier having a conversation with some girl. I was a little curious so I look over to see Y/n flirting with the cashier. I mean he isn't even that good looking or anything. Ugh, whatever. I walk over to the cashier.

"Thank you for shopping your total-" when he looked up his voice suddenly became un-confident unlike earlier "is 23" 

"Whatever here-un" I drop my money on the counter grab my bag of stuff and walk away. 

"Hey" Y/n greets me.

I don't reply, we just start walking toward the interior design place. 

"Whats your deal?" she asks.

"Oh, maybe the fact that I literally just saved you and you are already trying to get into another bad situation-un" I coldly reply.

"Okay I was just trying to get a deal by tricking that moron" Y/n says " besides that guy couldn't fight off a little kid" 

"Tch" 

We walked in silences for a while before arriving at the entrance of a colorful building.

(Y/n pov)

"So what are you looking for?" Deidara asks as we walk into the vibrant store.

"Uh probably just gold and navy stuff" I answered him.

" Hey what about this" He holds up a navy throw blanket.

"Actually- yeah. You have decent taste Blondie" I tease.

I took the blanket from him, it was really soft too. We neared a wall of pillows.

"Hey Blondie, you're a lot taller than me could you grab one of those?" I ask pointing to a gold square shaped pillow. 

"Why should I-un?" he was getting under my skin.

"C'mon" I ask again.

"Fine" he gave in and handed me two of the gold pillows.

"Thanks- I guess" I say not wanting to thank him.

I picked up a white bedding set, a gold lamp with a blue shade, and a round blue pillow, before deciding to check out. I ended up paying more than I thought I would.

(timeskip to when you meet up with the others)                                                                                                  (Y/n pov)

"So what did you get?" Konan asks me.

I opened up the bag showing her what I bought. 

"Let me see what you got" I say.

Konan showed me a new dress that she bought along with some shoes.

"I like it" I reply with a smile "Oh real fast, can I get something from the candy store?" luckily we were standing close to it.

"I can take you senpai!" Tobi screams.

"ok" I reply sounding really put out.

I followed Tobi into the colorful store. I pick up some sour straws, pixie stix, gummy bears, and some jawbreakers.  After leaving the store our group started to walk back to base. Today was a really interesting day.
