(Deidara pov)
"Why did the three of us have to get put on a team, Sasori will probably keep flirting with Y/n the whole time?" I quickly corrected myself "Which I don't mind if anyone flirts with her it's just annoying. Was he even flirting with her that day or was he just trying to be nice? Maybe I'll just ask him."
We started walking but after a while Y/n says something.
"Hey, wait for just a second"
Me and Sasori stopped walking. She started making hand signs. Suddenly her giant bird appeared with us on the rocky path.
"I think this might be quicker, besides we are miles away from any civilization that could spot us." Y/n says patting her bird on the neck.
"Alright-un" I say pulling some clay out of my pocket, I formed it into a bird. I set it down made a hand sign and it became the same size as Y/n's.
"Alright, but we walk when we near civilization" Sasori says.
"Cool!" Y/n exclaimed as she mounted her giant bird. Sometimes I forget that me and Y/n are teenagers.
"Nice!" I leap up onto my clay bird.
Sasori grumbled something to himself as he climbed next to me onto a the bird. We flew up pretty high before we started gliding. Y/n was humming to herself. Her bird was very lively it would spin and turn or flip every now and then.
"Hey can I use some of our snacks?" Y/n asks.
"I guess-un" I reply.
"Thanks, here Skye" She tosses an apple to her bird, which in response did a flip and caught the snack in its beak.
We kept flying for a while. Soon Sasori told us to land, he was pretty intimidating in his disguise. I like him better as a red head. We circled around a few times before landing in a semi-clear patch of forest. We dismounted our giant birds.
"How far away are we?" Y/n questioned.
"Maybe half an hour" Sasori replied.
After eating a small snack, we started walking again
(Timeskip to arriving in the village) (Y/n pov)
We were pretty close to the small village, it was perfect- we could get information on the Hokage and we were near The Leaf and close to where Orochimaru had supposedly been. I was starving I couldn't wait to get some food.
"Can we get something to eat first?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm starving-un" Deidara agreed.
"Fine" Sasori was acting like we were little kids.
"I remember the other Sasori ,who was playing games and being silly" I say in my head.
We walked through the tall gates. No one seemed to notice or care that we were dressed in Akaktsuki coats.
"What about that place?" I ask pointing to a restaurant, I was so hungry.
"Alright let's go" Sasori remarked.
We were greeted by a waitress and she led us to a booth. I sat across from Deidara and Sasori and glanced at the menu. When the waitress returned I ordered some ramen and dumplings. Me and Deidara ended up sharing my dumplings, as Sasori looked disapprovingly at us.
"That was awesome" I say after we all finished our food.
We paid and exited the restaurant. We just walked for a while looking for a hotel. We walked past a photo booth a few times, after the 3rd time past the photo booth me and Deidara stopped. We looked at each other then at Sasori.
"Hey can we have some money" I ask.
"Yeah, just a little bit" Deidara chimed in.
"C'mon lighten up" I taunt.
"No" He shot us down.
"Fine" I say.
I darted towards Sasori reaching for the pockets of his backpack. He stepped back avoiding me but from behind Deidara grabbed the money and ran.
"Sayonara!" I smirked as I ran next to Deidara.
We got into the crammed photo booth. We put in a dollar and fifty cents. For our first picture we stuck out our tongues-including the ones on Deidara's hands. For the second one we made the rock-on sign with our hands. In the third we made peace signs. For the fourth we made finger-hearts. Finally for the fifth I leaned over his shoulder sticking out my tongue, and Deidara smiled with his eyes closed. We got our photo strips and we each took one and put them in our backpacks.
We regrouped with Sasori who was royally pissed.
"You two act like children" He says coldly.
"We only spent like a buck" I say and show him the picture strip "and look!">w<
"Yeah, lighten up Sasori my man-un" Deidara says.
"Yeah lighten up" I say in a sarcastic tone.
"We should find a hotel" Sasori declares.
"Hmph" I huff.
We found a hotel shortly after our little argument.
"One suite" Sasori demands.
"Yes" the receptionist responds sounding a little bit scared.
She handed us a key and told us the room number. We walked up a grand staircase, this was a very fancy hotel. Our room had two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Sasori had already set his stuff in one of the rooms, one of us would have to sleep on a futon.
"I want the other real room" I demand.
"No fair" Deidara whined.
"So?" I sassed.
I threw my stuff into the room and jumped onto my cozy bed.
"Too basd you have to sleep on the couch Blondie!" I yell at Deidara.
I grabbed the photo strip from my pocket.
"Since when do we get along this well? I guess making clay bats really brings people together" I think as I drift to sleep.
