"Haven't you learned, Doctor? We can't keep doing this." The Master sniggered as the Doctor dropped her head, running her hands through her hair. Graham snarled, going to step forwards but being stopped by Ryan with a cautious look in his eyes. This was between the doctor and the master. Yaz reached down and took the doctor's hand, firmly squeezing it whilst eyeing the master.

"Why can't you just let her be happy?" She snapped, pure hatred laced in her tone. The master smirked, placing his hands behind his back and leaning his weight from one foot to the other. "Because she never made things easy for me." Yaz felt the Doctor squeeze her hand harder, frustration building in her stance. "She always got in the way of my plans, never made things simple. The only solution is to get rid of her for good." He smiled toothily, sending waves of rage through everyone in the Tardis.

"How did you even get in here?" The doctor asked. She didn't sound panicked or stressed in the slightest, more bored and tired. She was tired of this. The master simply shrugged, pacing closer to the group and earning several snarls. "Don't answer that, I don't care. I think you should leave." She stepped forward, but Yaz pulled her back by her hand. The doctor looked at her and smiled reassuringly before pulling her hand from her own. She paced in time with the master, mimicking his movements.

"Yeah, I don't think I will." He squinted mockingly. The doctor rose her eyebrows, stopping in front of him with only inches separating them. "What do you want, what're you here for?" She asked, the master leaning in in response. "You. I'm here to finish you. Properly this time." His tone was low and gravely- he was so serious it hurt. But the doctor knew his game, or at least she thought she did.

"Alright mate, she's asked you to go so go. Get out." Graham pointed to the Tardis door, his voice stern. The master laughed, stepping past the doctor to look at the team stood in a line behind her. He looked them all up and down, grinning mockingly. "Cute." He tutted, stopping his gaze on Yaz. "I'm surprised at you doctor, you've chosen poor travelling pals this time around." He spun back around to let the fam exchange offended looks, basking in the look on the doctors face. "Don't talk about them like that, I couldn't have asked for better friends." She smiled warmly at her team, before directing her heated eyes back at her old friend.

The master smirked again, walking circles around her. "Oh you could've done so much better." He said. The doctor bit her lip, breathing out her nose. "I didn't need to. I already had the best people to call my friends. You wouldn't know." Her tone was hushed and light, which exaggerated the rage in her voice. "Oh yeah? So Rose, and Donna, and Amy, were all worse than this lot?" The doctor froze up, tensing all her muscles painfully tight as memories of her past companions flashed in her mind. She clenched her fists.

"Stop it." She growled. The master giggled like a child, clapping his hands. He adored this. "And what about River? Remember River Song? What would she think of your new group? How would she react when she found out she'd been replaced by your new girl?" He pointed at Yaz, who had her hands hovered under her chin and a confused expression. The doctor choked subconsciously, clutching her coat pockets in a fit of rage. "Shut up." She barked.

"Oh I could go on! All your old friends are gone. You left them, and for what? A couple of youngsters and a grandad? You're pathetic, Doctor." He practically danced around the Tardis, grinning from ear to ear as the doctor got progressively more wound up and emotional. "They probably don't even remember you. The doctor? Who's that?" The doctor grabbed the master by the collar of his coat and swung him against the wall, gritting her teeth and breathing heavily out of her nose. The room seemed to fall silent, a surprised silence- a rather uncomfortable one. The air was cold and thin, yet sweaty and stuffy. It was as if the planet itself had stopped turning to watch this moment.

The master continued to grin, letting a deep chuckle escape his chest. His and the doctors eyes were locked on each other like magnets, following every movement each iris made fluidly. The master slowly moved his eyes to look over at the fam, and the doctor followed to see her friends shocked faces staring back at her. "Look at yourself doctor." He snarled, only increasing the doctors grip on his jacket. "Shut up, just stop talking!" She said through gritted teeth, pushing him harder and harder into the wall.

"I thought you were better than this."
"Stop it."
"Physical violence, Not very you, Doctor."
"What did I just say?"
"Look at what You're turning into, You're a Monster."
"Be quiet!"
"What're you gunna do if I'm not?"
"Do you really want to find out?"
"Show me Doctor, do your worst! Because nothing you can do will ever match what I can do to you, nothing you can do to me now will ever stop me from chasing you. I'm going to be on your tail for the rest of time until I get what I want!"

The doctor let out a yell, raising a fist quickly behind her head with her lips clenched together and glossy, fiery eyes. "Just shut up!" The master was smiling statistically with wide eyes, grabbing the doctors wrist still pushing him against the wall. "Do it! Come on do it!" He shouted as the doctor clenched her fist tighter and tighter to stop herself hurling it into his jaw. "Doctor stop!" Yaz's voice echoed in the blondes head, casing her to turn towards her. Yaz's face was distraught, her fists tight behind her as she relaxed when she had her attention at last.

"You're better than him, don't sink to his level." She was almost begging, which pulled the doctors hearts in ways they had never been before. She subconsciously loosened the grip she had on the masters coat, lowering her fist slowly. Yaz smiled softly, wiping under her eyes where a few tears were resting. For a moment, if just a moment, she really thought she was going to do it. Even If the master deserved to be punched in his stupid face and more, Yaz couldn't watch the Doctor sink low enough to do it. She knew what he was trying to do, and she wasn't going to let her doctor be manipulated into falling. Falling into the deepest darkest part of herself.

The doctor turned back to the master, hate still filling her eyes, but a newer calmer approach to handle it. She pulled him closer to her, his grin everlasting. "Graham, do me a favour and set course for planet 014, I think our friend the master has some business there." She smiled smuggly as the master's face fell. Graham nodded and fiddled with the buttons on the control panel, taking them straight to planet 014. The fam didn't know the relevance of this planet, and assumed it was something to do with the two time-lords fight; And smartly decided to leave it there.

They arrived at the planet, and the doctor pushed the master to the door of the Tardis. She pulled open the door and shoved his out, leaning on the opened door and smirking when the egotistical time-lord tumbled to the ground outside. "Aw, not like the taste of your own medicine?" She teased, earning a groan from the master as he sat up. "You- you won't get away with this! I'll find you, and if you loose me, I'll find you again. And again. And again. I'll keep finding you until I've destroyed you once and for all!" He yelled, getting to his feet and dusting his suit off.

The doctor licked her lips, smile still present. "Keep finding me. Keep wasting your time. It doesn't effect me, because I will always come out on top- we will always come out on top." She looked in on her fam, who were smiling proudly. With that, she shut the door, ignoring the screeches from the master outside. She set a course and the Tardis left her old friend stranded again. Yaz lent against the doctor as she inputted the various codes, intertwining their fingers. The doctor blushed madly, looking at Yaz with a flustered and surprised face.

"You're so much more than you make yourself out to be, im so proud you didn't actually hit him- even if he deserved it." The doctor giggled, looking away shyly. "I couldn't have you all be afraid of me, I hate what the masters turned into, and he'd give anything to see me fall too." She met eyes with Yaz again, and mutually they leaned in and kissed.

The doctor hated the master, and spent years wondering if she would one day sink to the same level as he had. But it was moments like this that told her she was far too high to sink as low. She had what he didn't, a rock, and her rock was Graham, Ryan, and most importantly- Yazmin Khan.
