Chapter 20: "I got you."

Nika's POV

"Wow these food are soooo delicious!" Audric moaned as soon as he feed himself with a spoonful of rice and chicken. All of us laughed at him because a rice was on his right cheek.

"What?" He said when he noticed us looking at him and snickering. He furrowed his eyebrows and thought for a minute until Allen pointed to his right cheek which he immediately understood.

"Oh..." Audric breathed out as he got the rice off his right cheek making all us laugh out loud.

We happily ate our lunch and, of course, we helped each other to wash the dishes, which didn't go so well.

"Leo move away! There's more space over there!" Jake said, he pushed Leo away but Leo just came back to his place. I was washing the dishes with Ashley, Chelsea was wiping it dry, while the boys just arranged everything in place.

"But this cabinet still has space for plates so I'll stay here." Leo defended himself, Jake keeps on pushing Leo away but Leo is stubborn enough to go back to his spot everytime.

"Then I'll put the plates in this cabinet, and you go arrange some in that cabinet!" Jake barked at Leo, the rest of the boys kept laughing at their antics.

Ashley was on my right side while we wash dishes, after I'm done with the plate I passed it to Chelsea who happily wiped it. There was one more plate left, I didn't want to tire Ashley so I reached for it but then coincidentally she reached for it too causing our hands to touch each other. My hand was on top of hers and hers was below.

I looked at her, amused by this accident. She had a small cute grin and pinkish cheeks, she looked down and I saw she bit her lip trying to fight a big grin on her face. I smiled a little because of her cuteness, I pulled my hand back which caused her to look up with a slight bit of disappointment in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know your hand reached for it too." I apologized, she shook her head and flashed her pearly white teeth at me.

"It's okay, I kinda...love the warmth of your hand." She said, blushing. She looked intently into my eyes with her captivating green eyes, I didn't realize we were staring at each other for a long time until Chelsea whistled and bumped my ass with her hip.

"Hoot hoo! Both of you are gonna melt if you stare at each other longer." Chelsea teased, while wiggling her eyebrows. Ashley splashed water on her sister's face.

"Shut up!" Ashley said. Chelsea laughed and and bumped my elbow with hers, I looked at her and she winked at me.

"You like my sister huh?" She whispered with a smirk, I furrowed my eyebrows at her with an amused smile.

"Of course I do! Just not in the way you think it is." I whispered back. She looked at me with an 'I don't believe you' face, I just shook my head and smiled at her.

"Well, do you like me?" She asked suddenly, causing myself to be taken aback.

"W-what?" I stuttered. She smirked at me and leaned her face closely to my ear.

"I said, do you like me?" She repeated. Hearing and feeling her breath near my ear is making me nervous actually.

"No-I mean yes, but as friends." I stuttered, again. She retreated her face and she pouted with a sad face.
