Chapter 5: Sparks?

Nika's POV

"What the fuck?!" Jillianne breathed out. We all looked stunned at the scenery we saw, it wasn't even expected.

"How can we get through when a fucking ten-wheeler truck is laying down in the middle of the fucking road?!" Patrish rubbed her temples and sighed. We didn't really know this place well, so we didn't know if there was another route going back to our house.

"Where do we go now?" Andrea asked. Jillianne sighed and reversed the car going back to were the mall is.

"Let's find an available house or apartment, then let's stay there." Jillianne said.

Jillianne doesn't care if zombies are on the way she just ran them over, I would do that too if I was the driver. I turned on the radio and some stations was just static sounds, but one particular station caught our attention.

"101.1 station *beeeeeeep* Everyone please stay indoors, an outbreak is currently happening. If you have kids and babies please keep them close to you, if you're outside go home or find a place to stay in. It's dangerous to stay outside, flesh eating zombies are attacking every human they see. Some authorities are finding cure for this phenomena, this is not a test. Everyone please stay indoors, I repeat please stay indoors. Everybody take care and God bless! *beeeeeeep*" A voice said in the radio making all of us look at each other.

"We really need a place to stay, it's almost dawn." Ryza exclaimed.

An hour has passed and we still hadn't found a single house that's open, the sun has set and the moon shined through our car while we all sat in comfortable silence. The moon looked magnificent tonight, it lit up the surroundings. It brought light through the darkness of the night, I always loved the moon because of how it brings peace at night, and the way the moon brights like the stars.

I always love the moon, and the sun also. Their love story for me is perfect, it's so breathtaking and beautiful. My sister actually told me this story, when I was 10 years old and she's 15. I always wanted to tell the love story of the sun and moon to the destined person for me, it's always been my goal.

"Wow! This place is big!" Jillianne said with wide eyes.

It looks like a big fort, it was barricaded by a big grey gate with electrical wires on top. The gate was probably 10 ft. and the design was cool. It was stripes of lines and you can see the inside, the house is colored black and white. The door was black and the outline of the windows, some of the walls were white but mostly black.

There were no trees around the fort or house, like I said it was barricaded by big walls. Other houses around it was covered with white blankets and tarpaulins. Zombies were pounding on the grey gate, they were a lot. Our car was parked at the other side of the road, zombies were walking and some are running towards the house.

"Should we go in and ask help?" Andrea asked while looking outside.

"Yeah but there's a big chance they or he or she will ignore us." Patrish explained. I grabbed my AK 47 and asked Patrish to cover me, she looks at me with a puzzled expression.

"What are you planning Nika?" Patrish asked looking at me with an 'are you serious?' look.

I don't know what came over me but something was telling me to kill all those zombies that is pounding on the gate. Maybe because of adrenaline rush, I really wanted to call my sister and ask her where she is.

"I don't know but just kill all those zombies and let's go ask help from the people or person inside, if there is one." I exclaimed.
