Things Left Unsaid, but Not Unspoken

------(Setagaya City district)-------

Monday afternoon;  Tokyo was light by a warm sunset. It's rays weaved through the branches and over the buildings, reaching over to Setagayaku Kitazawaminami Kumin Community Center, gently cradled the remaining children as they ran around the fenced area, waiting for their parents to pick them up.

On this beautiful evening, if there were more people enjoying the weather, if someone was paying closer attention, someone would have noticed how a motorbike (that had made almost no sound) had just happened to appear in the middle of Donguri Hiroba park .

It was carrying 3 soiled people:

One looked sleep deprived and in emotional shock;

One was laughing at the third while nursing a bleeding shoulder, and

The last one shot off the seat the instant the bike stopped, looking like they've died, revived, and was trying not to die once more.

'Don't vomit, Dabi, don't vomit!'

(NoteThis was not Dab's first time through a portal, but it was his first time through a space-time warp, which has a completely different wavelength and energy pattern.)

The motor simmered down.

Stray was the second to jump off the motorcycle, shaking itself dry and purring as they sat down in the sunlight. Next was Kiuta, but only moved far enough to turn around and gently cover Uult's singed shoulder with his coat. After double checking that it would stay on without hurting his brother, he just stood there, eyes wide in disbelief. Uult's lip turned down,  reaching out to still the tremors in Kiuta's body.

"Key... you're shaking..."

Kiuta's lip twitched. 'He is alive.'

"...Come here."

With no intent to resist, Uult let his brother he wrapped his arms around him, resting forehead-to-forehead in a calm hug. They stood like that for a while, ignoring Dabi, in order to let reality sink in and their thoughts to calm down.

They had made it. They were all alive. Sure, a bit scratched up, scorched up, bruised and maybe mentally scarred, but they were alive. That's what mattered. They were all alive.

...

When Kiuta was finally able to stop his body from shaking, he pulled back to lay a small kiss on Uult's forehead. The younger scrunched his nose and giggled like a bunny. The elder laughed too, overtaken with a wave of affection only close family have to each other.

"Oh man, I so wanna see if they would shave their head."

At Uult's tilted head in question, Kiuta laughed. "Nevermind." Then, as if remembering something, the bleach-blonde turned to Dabi, stance defensive. "You done hurling?"

Uult gulped, but stayed quiet. He had little energy left. He knew his brother was drained as well, but that didn't stop Kiuta from tying ends where need-be.

"Ok. Where to start? ... I, am a respectable human being, who knows how to use my words in a civilized manner. Hence, I valiantly present to you this phrase of good fortune: fuck you Dabi."

Uult gaped. 'Key swore?'

"Never drag us into a criminal chase ever again. Nod if you understand."

The villain turned around, wiping his mouth with this sleeve. With a dash of reluctance, Dabi gave a curt nod, fully indenting to avoid another similar situation at all cost. Kiuta nodded in approval.
