The door shut firmly behind him. Without permission, Uult's shaking body broke into cold sweat. He was stuck with a shadow, pinned by a searing gaze he couldn't see. An inspectful, calculated, and lackadaisical gaze of someone who he didn't know.
Or at least, who knew him.
Dammit, that's worse!
"Look up," the cold voice ordered.
There was no room for denial. Closing his eyes, Uult raised his head, fearing any form of physical contact.
"Tch," the hand was back, streaking harshly over Uult's raised hairs, before digging chipped nails into his scalp. "I said look up."
A harsh yank forced Uult's neck to arch back, taunt. His lungs emptied. His eyes snapped open in mild panic. Blue met glowing turquoise. What he saw made him choke in fear.

So, he stood, still as a stone, and let the pair of piercing turquoise eyes skim over his bruised face, pin-point perception catching all of Uult's wounds and re-appearing acne with needle accuracy.
Uult knew his eyes were deadly, narrowed in unforgiving slits, but he was suddenly so angry that he didn't care.
It was Dabi's fault after all!
A finger forced his head from one side to the other in a calculative manner, authority filling each flick. Yet, upon catching the fire still thriving in the near-broken capsule, Dabi seemed to lighten a bit.
Without warning, the scarred man pushed Uult's shoulder, a smirk softening his features. The latter hissed, clutching his throbbing joint in pain but said nothing.
"Pathetic."
At that word, Uult blurted out a mirthful laugh, sounding quite pitiful to his ears, but it was his only remaining defense mechanism; a way to make light of a situation, despite the obvious shit he was in—
