Kindness is its own superpower.
Love is, too.
But acceptance?

Acceptance is Key.

----(Dabi POV)----

Still on the field of war, at the hospital that is in ruins....

My fault.

Thousands of things happened in split seconds, as if they were on rewind. But in real life, it happened much faster.

Dabi only blinked, despair barely clawing at his chest, and suddenly, the earth had moved: boulders rose, a woman screamed, two figures were laying on the floor beside her, people were running towards the threat, two towards the woman.

She was yelling.

Yelling in agony and rage.

Rage.

Death.

No...

Illusive tremors filled his body, but the ice stiffening his limbs felt real. As real as when blue hair and red eyes came close enough to force himself in Dabi's sight.

Smiling, Shigaraki took one look at Dabi's expression and said something Dabi never hoped to hear:

"Gave you a hand; some fuel to that desire of yours," a sadistic smile, "friend."

Dabi swallowed.

Friend.

That phrase would rattle and screw with his dreams right alongside orange flames.

Then, Shigaraki went back to ignoring him in favor of fighting actual threats. But one was rising from the ashes behind his wake.

"GET BACK HERE!"

Shigaraki paid her no mind, instead attacking the other older Pros in sickening vengeance.
But Dabi—

Dabi looked.

A nomu approached the girl.

Anger evident, Fuin raises islands of boulders with a flick of her eyes, throwing them with invisible force at anything and anyone who dared to get close to them, crushing two other nomu and a villain in the process, but she didn't notice. She was in protect-mode. And the nomu...
They were getting up.

And Uult was still—

And his brother wasn't mov—

And the booming and screaming were—!

It was a mess.

Dabi had a crisis.

Nothing was making sense. Nothing was going to plan. He was feeling — feeling! — and it was screwing his thoughts over. He should be getting out; the plan was gone. They knew who he was. Endeavor was destroyed. Society would know the Pro-Heroes like him could fake being good. But—but Best Jeanist wasn't dead, Hawks didn't kill him, but the killed Twice in cold-blood— but he warned— and then the boy that shouldn't have existed in the equation happened, and— and he saw the body fall, and— and Dabi careD? Since when?!? How— why—?

What do I do now?

"Mreaw!"

A jolt forced Dabi to look down.

Stray.

The cat. The black cat was there, brushing against his leg, looking up at him as if to tell him something—
