OUTSIDE of the walls is where I needed to be right now. I needed to clear my mind. The kiss wasn't a bad thing, but bad things tend to happen and it did. Noah was gone. We can never catch a break. Bad things always happen.

A walker snarled, I heard it, I unholstered my weapon, digging it into the head of the walker, I watched it fall, a twig snapped behind me. I turned around, face to face with Carl Grimes. My eyes wandered, "Why are you following me?" I asked, Carl shrug his shoulders. I grinned, turning the other way, I ran. "Catch me if you can!" I yelled, laughing. When I ran, I felt free. It felt as if nobody could stop me. I felt invincible. I heard the twigs snap behind me, he was running after me, I could tell.

Carl gripped my hand, we both stopped, looking in front of us. A walker snarled. I began walking up to it but one turned into more. Carl tugged on my arm, they saw us. We ran, I saw a tree, it was hollowed, I dragged Carl in it.

We looked at eachother, breathing heavily. Listening as the walkers passed by. His hand brushed against mine, he looked away from me. I leaned in, "Why are you scared?" I whispered in his ear, I moved away a bit once he looked at me, shaking his head, "I'm not." He whispered.

I listened as the walkers moved farther away, "Yeah, sure." I half-grinned, Carl shook his head, smirking, looking away.

Carl helped me climb back over the wall, "Thanks." I smiled, He squeezed my hand, grinning at me.

Glass shattered, I whipped my head where the sound came from, letting my hand fall from his. Rick was beating the crap out of Pete. My legs pushed in front of me, Carl tried getting his father off of Pete. Rick pushed him away. I felt the adrenaline rush, take over and I knew I had to act fast. Rick was choking him at this point, Carl was yelling at Rick. I put my hands on Rick's shoulders, pulling him off, "Let go!" I screamed, Rick pushed me on the ground.

Michonne came out of nowhere, knocking Rick out cold. I breathed heavily, Carl helped me up off the ground. I looked at Rick, then down to the ground, shaking my head. I walked away.

They were deciding whether or not to exile Rick, my heart was pounding. I sat in my room, Ryan was downstairs. We had our own tiny house. I heard a knock on my window, I sprang up, looking over at the window, it was Carl. I opened my window, Carl climbed in, "Carl?"

I went over to my door, locking it, "Is something wrong?" "If my dad gets exiled, I'm leaving with him also." My eyebrow raised, "We're all going with him if he get exiled." Carl shook his head, "No you're not, you and Ryan are staying." I scoffed, crossing my arms, "Last time I checked, we are a family. We are doing this and we are gonna get through this together."

Tears formed in Carl's eyes, my face softened, "Carl." I whispered, he sat down on my bed, his hands cupped his face. I sat down next to him, wrapping my arms around him, "It'll be okay." He wrapped his arms around me, burying his face in the crook of my neck, sobbing, "We have each other." She whispered.

The sunlight beamed in my room, I was wide awake, pulling my fingers through Carl's hair. Carl was fast asleep, it had been that way for hours. I couldn't sleep not for a second. I looked at the wall, staring. Carl stirred, yawning as his eyes opened. I didn't stop messing with his hair, "You've been doing that since last night."

"I know." I continued, "You're dad didn't get exiled, Ryan told me last night." A smile formed on Carl's face, he sat up, giving me a quick peck, "I gotta get home, I'll see you later." I nodded, "Okay." Carl climbed out my window. I got up unlocking my door and opening it, Ryan stood in the doorway, I jumped back, "Jesus, Ryan."

"Was that Carl?" I raised an eyebrow at him, "No one was in here but me." "Right." He looked in my room, "Maybe I'm hearing things." "I think you are."

"Right."
