Today was the day. You were going to finally do it. After so much reciting in the mirror, you were ready. So now you held your head up high. You planned on asking out one of your best friends, Robin. You walked towards the kitchen. You knew Robin was in there from hearing his laughter. You heard him talking to Zatanna, you were right around the corner when you heard, "So Zatanna, will you go on a date with me?"

That was Robin's voice. Your heart broke a bit. Maybe she would say no and tell him that it was a nice gesture?

"Yes Robin! I would love that." She said.

There it was, your heart shattered. You walked back to your room and you could feel tears swell in your eyes. So you dialed your true best friend, Roy Harper, the Red Arrow. It rang three times and he answered.

"What's up (Y/N)?" Roy asked.

"C-Can I stay with you for the weekend?" You asked trying not to cry, but you were failing.

"Yeah sure. Are you okay?" He asked.

"I rather not say right now." You said putting some clothes in your backpack and whatever else you needed for the weekend.

"Okay. See you soon." Roy said.

You hung up the phone as you put in your shoes. You also packed you (W/C) in your bag. Once you were finished you wiped all the tears you could, sniffled, and went to the zeta tube.

"Hey (Y/N), where you going?" Robin asked as he jogged over.

"Somewhere. I am going to be gone for the weekend. Tell Batman to call my phone if he needs me." You said.

"Hey have you been crying?" Robin asked.

"No." You said. A tear slipped. "I am fine." You entered the zeta tube, while Robin was in utter confusion.

As soon as you exited the tube there he was, the red haired, blue eyed guy. Roy saw you and felt bad. "Hey what happened?"

"I went to ask him, but as I almost got there he asked her out. He asked Zatanna out." You said.

Roy was a bit angry and shook his head. "Come on, let's go." He wrapped his arm around your shoulder.

He took you to his own apartment and closed the front door and locked it. "Make yourself at home (N/N)." He made that nickname up for you when you were younger.

You set your bag beside the couch as you sat down on it. Roy came back and handed you a beer. "We might be underaged, but one drink isn't gonna kill us." He said.

You smiled and took it. You began to sip on it. It was that Angry Orchid, Green Apple. Stuff tasted so good.

"I was so damn close. I thought I had it, but.. but I didn't." You said.

Roy rubbed your shoulder. "I know you were." He handed you the remote to the TV. "Pick a TV show. Tonight is to cheer you up. Then we will figure some stuff out tomorrow." He said.

It had to be around 10:00 at night when Roy gently nudged you. "I got an idea." He said. "Remember when Wally used to hit on you and Robin would get furious? He hated that shit, he would get all jealous."

You rose an eyebrow. "Yeah?"

"Make him jealous. WE make him jealous. You start hanging out with me more, we play as a couple and he will dump that bitch. Then you got your man back." Roy said.

You were surprised. "You sure?"

"Hell yeah I am." Roy said. "Anything for my best friend."

You smiled. "Okay."
