Big Baby (Arrow: Roy Harper x Reader)

"Pass the popcorn." Roy said to you as you all watched The Invisible Man.

Roy Harper, how does one exactly describe him? Slightly hot headed, a tad cocky, dedicated, a heart of gold, a bit of a smartass, sometimes a bit too bold, loyal, funny, and one of the greatest people anyone could have in their life. Despite his flaws, he had so many talents and perfections too. What more could you ask for your childhood best friend? The guy who included you in everything, shared everything with you, and always had your back. Well maybe wishing he would see you in a romantic way would be nice.

You first met him when you were in kindergarten and he was the dark blonde haired boy with bright blue eyes. The little asshole who wasn't afraid to steal your (F/C) crayon out of your desk, without permission, and color aggressively on a coloring page. The little boy who would pull your hair and make you cry and called you a "big baby". The boy who didn't realize how he could be a bit too rough and then feel so much regret. One time you were running at recess and he shoved you lightly, because you all were racing. You weren't expecting that shove at all and you faceplanted and you tried holding back tears when you stood back up. Roy was shocked at seeing how your face was scraped and your hands too. You then punched him the jaw to which he exclaimed in pain, so you called him a big baby. He shook off the pain, then helped you up. He felt so bad. He took you to the nurse and was sure you would snitch on him but you didn't.

The next day he somehow stole four cookies, from the cafeteria, and sat beside you. He gave you those cookies and apologized a lot. You were slightly grumpy, but eventually forgave him. He even stole a small box of crayons, at a dollar store, since he dulled your crayons down. Sure stealing wasn't a very good trait, but he eventually stopped most of his stealing. Soon he started to walk with you around the Glades. He always made sure he kept you close since it was a dark area. If anyone picked on you, then he would stand up to them. He also taught you how to fight back. And guess who got sent to the principal often because they had beaten up some bullies? You and Roy, the fighters.

Sleepovers were fun with him, especially when he would do crazy things to make you laugh. He honestly was probably the best friend anyone could help. But he also was probably a hot guy to crush on too. Scratch that. He was a hot guy to have a crush on.

"What's the magic word?" You asked him.

"Abracadabra." Roy said.

You took three pieces of popcorn and threw it at his face. "There's your popcorn."

"Really?" Roy asked with a smirk.

You nodded. "Yeah because you didn't use manners."

Roy rolled his eyes. "Please?"

"Without the attitude." You teased.

Roy smiled and looked at you. "Please?" He asked.

You handed him the bowl as he picked up the three pieces, you had already thrown, and ate those too. "So glad you have the night off for being Arsenal." You said to him. He and Thea had broken up a few months ago and he needed his best friend around. And it was common for him to ask you if you were busy so you two could hang out. He had actually had you spend the night for a week, and still was.

"In a way I wish you were on the team, but I would be putting you in harms way." He said. "Though being on missions with you would be awesome." He looked back at the TV and watched the movie some more.

You sighed. "Kind of sucks that I've seen everything and you won't let me join."

Roy looked away from the screen and back at you. "It's not just up to me. It's up to Oliver too."

You accidentally found out the whole secret because Roy took you to the Arrow Cave, because you had gotten into a horrible accident. Someone had gotten ahold of some Mirakuru and took it. You were in the line of their vision as they were on a rampage and they threw you into a wall. It was amazing that you lived through it. You were in and out of consciousness that day.
