((Warning: Will talk about depression and thoughts of suicide.))
The first time Jason saw you, it was when you were practicing you singing and piano skills alone, sometimes you would dance. You were in the theater where Jason practically lived for the longest time. In fact he couldn't bring himself to leave the theater if you were there. One day he finally introduced himself to you. Yeah he surprised you when he just appeared, but you greeted him. You two hit it off instantly and became best friends.
Sometimes you both would listen and watch the plays from above. You grew a strong bond and the two of you made a cute little calling for the both of you. "The Happy Outcasts". Some people might think that name isn't cute, but it was something that you and Jason joked about. Your parents were locked away and you lived with a foster family, which you kind of were shunned from. So you were an outcast and Jason said he was always born as one. That is how you two became the Happy Outcasts.
You were the first person he told about him being Robin. You promised to never tell and you always kept that promise. He was your first kiss and you were his first kiss too. Soon you two were going out and you were so happy. When the both of you were near each other, it felt like a perfect world.
"(Y/N), I have to go. I am going to be with the Titans for a while. It's in San Francisco and you're going to be all the way here." Jason explained. He was sad about telling this to you.
You were sad too, but you knew what was coming. As dreadful as these words were, you knew you had to hear them.
"I think.... I don't think it can work between us if we are that far away from one another." Jason said. He had tears in his eyes.
You nodded and had tears in your eyes too.
The both of you hugged one another and you two shed tears.
"I am still going to be your friend though." Jason said.
You smiled. "Okay. Right back at you Jay."
That moment was heartbreaking, but you two were happy that you both would talk occasionally after that.
It had been quite a long while since you saw Jason. The communication between you two had diminished. It wasn't like you two were ghosting one another, it just fell into a confusing yet bland replies. However, that didn't stop you from going to the theater every once in a while. It was very rare though. Very very rare for you to go into the theater. Now you spent most of your nights with only 1 beer, on top of a roof, a blanket, a pillow, and your backpack full of necessities. Yeah you pretty much would go back only the foster home to shower and then go back to living on the rooftops. You had become more reckless and a bit too bold for your own good.
It also gave Batman to drop in on you, to see how you were doing, and have a brief chat with him. However, he would get busy with saving Gotham. So usually it was just you, alone, and silence except the sounds of the city.
You were hacking into some person's wifi to use it. When you easily got in, you smiled. "Good broadband and perfect service." You said. You plugged your headphones in and put on some of your favorite songs. You opened a beer and sipped it while you sang to some of the songs, but you sang quietly. Some people drove past the building, a few motorcycles. You just didn't recognize one in particular.
Jason had been through a lot since what happened back with the Titans. Almost falling to his death, being accused falsely of shit he didn't do, starting to fall for another girl who wasn't who she said she was, leaving, seeing a small funeral from the distance, then he rode back to Gotham. He might have gone too far on a lot of things, but now he was back.
